23/03/2026: A small, unremarkable restaurant. We waited 40 minutes for a table, and the service was already rather unpleasant. Once seated on the terrace, as it was cold, we asked if we could sit inside. We were told we would have to go back outside and rejoin the queue, which is completely unprofessional. The worst part was after the meal: several of us experienced digestive problems, and I personally had severe stomach pains. A very disappointing experience; I do not recommend it.
22/03/2026: Pleasant and quick service, excellent rib steak cooked over a wood fire, but a disappointment with the fries which we would have expected to be homemade!

25/11/2025: We were looking for a restaurant this evening and what a pleasant surprise! It was nothing like the other tourist traps we've seen. The value for money was excellent, and the food was homemade—so rare these days! The portions were generous, the food was hot, and it was truly delicious. A real treat! I highly recommend it.

29/03/2026: Everything is very good and fresh, but be warned if you have a big appetite about the portion sizes: when they say dishes are served with potatoes and vegetables, it's a small side dish (like in a gourmet restaurant), so you'll be disappointed. Opt for dishes with fries if you're hungry. We all had to order desserts to make up for it (but they were incredible too).

12/03/2026: A very warm welcome in a lovely setting. The service is really pleasant and the crepes are very good.
10/03/2026: I went into this restaurant for a sweet treat. The welcome was friendly, and the waitress was attentive. The crepes were very good and a little out of the ordinary. There was a good selection of cider. The "L'Arsène" crepe—caramelized apple, salted caramel frangipane, and almond slivers—was to die for. The setting was pleasant but could use a little more coziness. I recommend it.

We were allowed to be there with our dog, which was also very nice.

07/03/2026: I recommend it 2000%! After a brief visit to "La Belle Époque" without ordering anything, we stopped at Le Galion for lunch today (5 adults). We weren't disappointed at all! The lady greeted us at 2 pm with a lovely smile, a warm hello, and seated us. The service was perfect, and the meal, from aperitif to dessert, was excellent. We will definitely be back! 😉 A big thank you from the people of Picardy and Normandy! 😋👏

04/03/2026: The place is still as welcoming and intimate as ever. I don't know if it was a one-off problem in the kitchen, but 3 hours for a 5-course dinner, excluding aperitifs, slightly diminishes the enjoyment of the meal.

01/04/2026: Fantastic! This is our second visit and everything is just as perfect as ever! The quality of the service, the magnificent view of the cliffs, the delicious meal from appetizer to dessert. We came with a stroller and were given a very comfortable table. Well done and thank you for this wonderful experience!
31/03/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed a platter of fresh seafood, with the added bonus of a sunset behind the Needle cliff. Furthermore, the welcome was warm.

25/02/2026: Friendly owner, cozy and calm atmosphere, like a grandma and grandpa's house, "made in China."
Plenty of dishes unless you have a big appetite. Prices are average for Étretat.
Drawbacks: the lemongrass shavings in the dish (they're like wood and very hard to remove), good quality beef but no flavor, and undercooked rice. A shame, it didn't live up to the authenticity mentioned in other reviews. Fortunately, the place is quite charming and very well located. Finally, kudos to the charming owner for his kindness; he deserves the two stars.
24/02/2026: I was very disappointed by this restaurant.
The beef chop suey was truly inedible. The portion was very small for 15 euros, and the taste seemed questionable, with a slightly off smell. It was difficult to swallow. After the meal, I felt very unwell (nausea and digestive problems).
The stir-fried noodles with beef had practically no flavor, and the meat didn't seem fresh, with a strong smell of meat that had been stored for too long.
Aside from the owner, a very kind and helpful elderly gentleman, and the proximity to Étretat, I unfortunately see no positive points.
It had been a long time since I had eaten such bad Vietnamese food.
Honestly, I absolutely don't understand the 4.6 rating.

19/03/2026: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is very well located (by the sea and the cliffs), with a truly magnificent view.
The service was excellent and super fast.
The food was incredibly delicious.
I highly recommend it.
16/03/2026: My boyfriend and I have been there several times over the weekend, and the service has always been excellent.
The servers are welcoming and friendly. We've never ordered hot dishes, but the crepes, waffles, and oysters are very good.
We recommend you check it out.

01/03/2026: My girlfriend and I went to this kebab shop for lunch on Saturday, and we were very satisfied. The place seemed very clean. I ordered a kebab and fries, which turned out to be quite a generous portion. The meat was good, the bread was good too, and the fries, though frozen, were cooked perfectly. For €9.50, it was excellent value for money. Having recently moved from eastern France to Paris, it was a real pleasure to find a kebab shop where they actually know how to make kebabs. I can't comment on the other dishes/sandwiches, but the kebab gets a 100% thumbs up.

25/12/2025: A very pretty town, the Casino has a nice view facing the sea with gaming machines for all audiences and a very warm welcome from the staff, well done to the whole team.
23/12/2025: I've rarely seen management eat during lunch, especially since there's only one server for both the bar and the restaurant. The management of the place is surprising; I rarely see staff or management eating during service. People often eat before or after lunch, which creates a bad impression.

05/01/2026: Hello,
I travel often and regularly stay in much better hotels for significantly less money. Here, €111 a night for a double room that looks nothing like the photos in the listing. The room is ridiculously small, the advertised desk is nonexistent, and the visuals are clearly misleading.
Then comes the litany of extra charges:
– €15 for parking for ONE night, even though the parking lot is advertised as being 800 meters away (false information)
– and the icing on the cake: a €200 security deposit, as if we were staying in a luxury hotel… when everything is falling apart.
In reality:
• wobbly shower holder
• shower head that doesn't stay in place
• poorly soundproofed room, but the bedding isn't bad
• low-end amenities at a premium price
• €13 breakfast, not all-you-can-eat and not good quality… at most €6 worth.
But the most shocking thing is the charge for stained sheets.
So, to be clear: what does a woman who's menstruating do? Do we charge her? Do we make the customer feel guilty?
It's shameful, archaic, and utterly disrespectful.
Yes, the hotel is well located.
But location doesn't justify everything, and certainly not:
• lies,
• abusive practices,
• and contempt for the customer.
Honestly, I hope this review will be your last in 2026 before you go bankrupt.
At some point, you have to change careers. You have an establishment that many would dream of owning: learn to manage it, respect your customers, and maybe the ratings will follow.
For my part, I made the mistake of booking too quickly without reading the reviews.
Mistake corrected.
This hotel has been permanently crossed off my list and propelled into my top two most shameful hotels I've ever stayed in, right behind the one with the cockroaches… (but at least that one cost €68 a night, so it was honest).
Avoid it at all costs. Go away.
