26/12/2025: A great place to eat in Amiens. Good value for money. An average of €25 per person for four people, including four courses, three desserts, and two coffees. The menu included roast pork with mashed potatoes, shrimp risotto, calf's liver, and ribeye steak; only the fries weren't homemade. Special mention goes to the truly delicious desserts: the homemade tarte tatin and the chocolate fondant.

21/12/2025: The beer selection is limited, but that's not a big deal. However, the tartiflette, while reasonably priced, is truly disappointing. The portion is quite small, leaving you wanting more, but that's mainly because there's hardly any cheese (Reblochon). Everything is swimming in cream with almost no flavor, and the Reblochon is practically nonexistent. It would have been much nicer to pay a little more and actually get a proper tartiflette on your plate, not just potatoes with cream.

18/03/2026: A really cool spot for techno lovers. Thanks to Eryn, the terrace manager. Very professional, polite, dedicated, reassuring, and above all, passionate about her work, which is rare these days. The same goes for the waiters and waitresses, always available to whip up delicious cocktails. I'll be back!

22/02/2026: Excellent welcome. Impeccable service. We enjoyed the ficelle picarde (a delight), the main course was generous, as were the desserts. A restaurant to remember for our next visit.

04/03/2026: I first encountered this restaurant in 2003 when Richard and his late brother William were in charge. We even held the gala dinner for a conference organized at the University of Picardy there.

29/03/2026: The setting is pleasant...the waitress is efficient...but we were very disappointed with the meal. The ficelle picarde was dry and cold...and the "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) was even worse...cold crème brûlée, dry cake. No enjoyment whatsoever...very disappointed, as were my friends.

21/12/2025: We ate there after visiting the Christmas market and the cathedral. It was very good, homemade (ch'ti burger, fish and chips, chocolate fondant) and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, and the owner was friendly.

15/01/2026: The manager's behavior struck me as inappropriate. While I was wearing a Dior sweatshirt, he made several comments about it, then inquired about my job, displaying excessive curiosity. He even went so far as to ask who paid for my designer clothes, which made my sister uncomfortable. As for the food, the quality was disappointing: the meat was too dry and the portions were small. Furthermore, the establishment claims to offer halal cuisine while also serving alcohol, which is somewhat misleading.

10/01/2026: We had dinner as a family of four and we absolutely loved it! The staff were very kind and helpful. There was a good selection on the menu, and everything was completely homemade. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the warm welcome.

24/11/2025: An iconic spot in Amiens, where Indian tradition, conviviality, and tranquility blend seamlessly. We certainly enjoyed the food, but the welcome and service were also outstanding. A touch of modernity would be welcome, but perhaps it would detract from the traditional atmosphere. I recommend ordering several different dishes to share the flavors.

27/12/2025: Nice setting. The food was good, but it would have been better if it had been a little hotter. One of the meats wasn't cooked properly: medium, not pink. The salad wasn't very fresh. The wine we ordered never arrived; after asking the waiter, I was told they were out. (My meal was almost finished.) We ordered a starter, but we received the main course instead. ?!

L'Échanson in Amiens is no exception. In fact, it's a model of excellence in terms of its warm welcome and efficient service. The cuisine, worthy of a good city brasserie, features classic and generous dishes, along with some excellent chef's specials. There's no artificially inventive cuisine that leaves you starving, but rather simple, satisfying, and enjoyable dishes. Located opposite the magnificent cathedral, L'Échanson is a great choice in this area, especially for tourists, offering excellent value for money!
