06/12/2024: To begin with, it was impossible to book more than a week in advance last summer. We were a table of 6 adults and two 16 year olds. Since there were minors apparently not allowed in the second shift, we were placed at the very back of the room…. Apparently a VIP corner, with half of the table a beautiful view on a wall, and cramped seats. We asked for a change of table since very young children were sitting at the family table with their feet in the sand. Request refused. So the evening was mixed for us. Too bad we were impatiently waiting for that evening, and the party was not there for us. An addition of around 1300 euros and not a small commercial gesture for this inconvenience. We understood that the restaurant was always full and that our satisfaction did not matter (a friend at our table owns 8 restaurants!! This is why we allow ourselves such a comment) the food was good but the prices are still not justified . As for the service, our waitress was adorable.

23/10/2024: Very nice and well-kept place. Top welcome and they also welcomed our lagotto! Between sand, wood, sofas, soft lights (a bit too much..) 3 of us had dinner. Unfortunately we had to swerve several times when ordering as the dishes and wines offered on the menu were not available and this did not meet our expectations...what we finally ordered among what was left was well made even if priced high despite being aware of the location and the fantastic location in sant tropez. The dining room staff was a little too pressing, not only did they not serve us the dishes we wanted from the menu but they were not available and we did not receive either a simple "sorry" or an offered glass..., we dined from 9.25pm ​​to 10.45pm while the staff was concentrated on tidying up the room and setting the tables for the following day, making us understand that as soon as we and the other 3 tables present had finished they would close early....the bill was high and among other things the wine list was based on wines priced mostly from 300 to 1000 euros with questionable choices among other things... but thank God freedom and support for those who do business. We probably happened upon an evening like this... and my review only describes my first time and my only experience. Wind in the sails of the owners and I hope to be able to surpass this review of mine on another occasion!

23/09/2024: I rarely criticize the cooking profession and their establishment except when it shames the profession and that was the case. €33.50 a tuna tartare and salad. Not only tasteless but flaccid, very far from the photos shown and above all dipping in a kind of sauce with pieces of avocado found who knows where. Impossible to make this tartare fit in a circle. YES you might think it was a bad film. YES it was not Stephane Avelin who was in charge but one could believe that it was one of his seconds but I would lean more towards a first year apprentice wanting not to do this noble profession. A great chef masters his cooking even when he is not present, but here we are so far from all the standards. A shame for the profession and I think that if he had been in my place with the strength of his character as a client it would not have merited paying the bill because the price was still so high for him. So Mr. “the boss” get off your pedestal and respect your job or buy from Leclerc they do much better. A shame also to the Gault et Millau guide which does not verify this type of aberration which is the cause of the bad image of our profession. YES Mr. Chef I had a restaurant and I might as well tell you that each of my words is measured when I say that it is a shame for the profession at this stage and that you should definitely not spend a cent at your place when you are not in charge. I remain at your disposal to talk about it.

19/09/2024: **Disappointing experience at Caprice des Deux restaurant!** The restaurant is charmingly located in the center of Saint-Tropez, hidden in a narrow alley. Unfortunately, this was the only positive impression of our evening. Our starters were simply disappointing. Given the restaurant's claim to fresh and traditional French cuisine, the dishes delivered were a bitter disappointment. The **cannelloni** came to the table cold after a long wait and was unappetizing. She was swimming in a brown, salty sauce that was supposed to taste like seafood. The **Asian-style beef salad** was also carelessly prepared. The meat was chopped into small pieces, the salad was covered in a simple soy sauce, was bland and lacked any Asian herbs that could give the dish character. Despite these shortcomings, our criticisms were ignored. When someone finally cleared the plates after a long time and we expressed our disappointment, the staff reacted unfriendly and in a loud tone. We were told that the other guests liked the dishes without even trying to solve the problem or offer us alternatives. We ended up canceling our dinner, paying an overpriced bill and going home hungry. For a restaurant in Saint-Tropez, where high prices should reflect high culinary standards, this was an extremely disappointing experience

20/09/2024: At Marcellino restaurant in St. Tropez, I was immediately drawn in by the vibrant atmosphere and charming décor. The moment I stepped inside, the fake lemon climbers adorning the walls transported me straight to Italy. The playful yellow hues created a warm and inviting ambiance that made me feel right at home. The smell of fresh pasta and herbs filled the air, enhancing the experience as I settled into my seat. The menu offered a delightful array of traditional Italian dishes, each crafted with care and bursting with flavor. I savored every bite, from the rich risottos to the delectable tiramisu. The staff was incredibly welcoming, adding to the overall experience with their genuine hospitality. As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn’t help but admire the lively energy around me. Marcellino truly captured the essence of Italian dining, making my evening unforgettable.

05/09/2024: We arrived in Saint-Tropez and initially made about 10 reservations at Michelin-recommended restaurants. On our first day at Airelles, we dined at La Table de La Messardière. It was so good that we canceled all our other reservations and decided to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner there for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend it—it's the best buffet we've ever had!

20/09/2024: Didn’t realize that the entire pasta menu is egg-free pasta. I ordered the tagliatelle with truffle and was sadly disappointed by the noodles. It more closely resembled wide Asian rice noodles used in pad see ew or Chong fun. The service was great tho and the atmosphere was nice with outdoor seating in the alley.

19/09/2024: Nice service, great pizza and very good hand-cut tartare. The atmosphere is special and the alley is very narrow.

10/09/2024: Accueil sympa mais serveur un peu "largué ". Pas très bon rapport qualité prix, certes nous sommes à Saint Tropez mais il y a des limites

06/09/2024: Na meer dan 20 minuten wachten kregen we eindelijk ons drankje. Bediening was onvriendelijk en negeerde ons duidelijk. Eten was ronduit slecht. Dorade was niet vers en dreef in de saus. Bolletje rijst was bruin en hard dus duidelijk al lange tijd ervoor klaargemaakt. Frites in plaats van rijst was niet mogelijk. Stokbrood kwam toen we bijna klaar waren , was koud van binnen en sompig van buiten. Water waar we om gevraagd hadden niet gekregen en maar zo gelaten. Nee dit is absoluut geen aanrader!

01/10/2024: Menu Épicurien pour deux, tout commence par une vue magnifique sur la baie et ensuite c'est parti pour 3 heures d'un plaisir permanent. On adore les sauces, on a été servi comme jamais, dés l'entrée et jusqu'au dessert. Que dire de plus, si ce n'est qu'après plusieurs tables triplement étoilée, on se demande si la Vage d'or ne devrait pas inaugurer la quatrième. On avait été déçu par des tables Parisiennes et nous avions peur du même travers à St Tropez, il n'en est rien. Trop tard pour cette année, le restaurant fermé bientôt mais réservez dès maintenant votre table pour le printemps prochain.
