19/09/2024: J'ai retrouvé avec plaisir ce restaurant connu en 2011! Je gardais en mémoire les sardines fraiches de St Gilles... par bonheur ce plat est toujours à la carte. On sens la fraicheur du port tout proche. Rien à redire sinon que nous avons regretté de ne pouvoir y aller à 9! Pas possible pour un vendredi soir! Mais je comprends.
07/09/2024: Très bon moment passé à ce restaurant. Le restaurant est assez petit mais très authentique. Nous avons pris le pot-au-feu de la mer, recette phare du restaurant : il est vraiment délicieux. Les prix sont un peu élevés mais la qualité est totalement au rendez-vous. Les desserts sont également très bons, même s'ils restent plutôt classiques (mousse au chocolat, tiramisu, crème brulée, glace).
Je recommande !

01/01/2025: I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the common areas are well maintained. The bedding is comfortable and the hotel has a good location. However, a refresh of the rooms would be welcome to modernize the place a little and further improve the guest experience. Despite this, overall remains very satisfactory, and I would recommend this establishment. In addition, there is a choice for breakfast.

08/09/2024: We had dinner the evening of the 10th night of the gardens and it was really very good. Spritz Vendéen very good. Excellent and hearty sea sauerkraut. Delicious caramel profiteroles.

15/09/2024: Arriving without booking, we were seated at a table by the sea (we waited a very short time for it to be cleared) by François, who was very very kind and commercial. Top service by himself and Clarisse. Fresh fish, tasty burger, impeccable fries. Service and atmosphere I recommend 100%

19/08/2024: I went there with a friend in July. Fried mussels with chorizo and well I'm still looking for the chorizo. For dessert we wanted a crepe, the cook sent the waitress "out of luck" and the waitress did not want to make any other dough even though several tables asked for it so we did not have dessert. So we left disappointed and ate a crepe in another establishment.
I won't go back there. Too bad especially since I'm from the area.
19/08/2024: We ate at Remblai twice, it was really good. The Chicken Burger is super good, one of the best I've eaten. Very kind and pleasant staff. We recommend 200%.

11/08/2024: Jazz evening in this small restaurant, new for us. The window on the street doesn't make you want to go in, yet this place left a very good impression on us. Cool atmosphere, nice decor, warm welcome, impeccable service, well-cooked dishes and very affordable prices. Great evening thank you!

12/09/2024: If you expect kindness and availability from the younger of the two waitresses, move on. Apart from an unfriendly "I only have two legs", "what do you want" when she decided without even a hello or a smile, nothing pleasant. I will never return to this establishment

26/07/2024: Une adresse à ne surtout pas manquer ! Du Rinquinquin à la crème brûlée à la lavande nous avons été enchantés. La bonne humeur communicative de Madame est un vrai plaisir et la cuisine de Monsieur un régal. Et le tout dans un cadre pittoresque.
On recommande à 100%
18/07/2024: The quality of the food is great. The prices are reasonable. The service is a bit hectic, though. Make sure you have enough time to have dinner, because you might have to wait a bit - they should think about hiring some extra help in the high season. Also make sure to make a reservation because they fill up quickly. Terrace is nice and cozy.

19/09/2024: Restaurant ouvert après 14 heures et personnel féminin aimable, le seul homme présent préférant une attitude fermée, bougonne à la limite de la grossièreté.
Commande de deux plats de sardines grillées, accompagnées de pommes grenailles et d’un peu de salade, un plat simple de terroir.
Ce qui devait être goûteux, s’est révélé presqu’immangeable tant les ingrédients étaient trop cuits.
Sardines petites et sèches, légumes ramollis et présentant des signes de carbonisation, comme les pommes de terre d’ailleurs. Un plat raté, digne d’un débutant sans envie de progresser. Nous n’avons pas eu affaire à un chef, mais à un apprenti cuisinier peu inspiré et dont la vocation est manifestement ailleurs.
Je ne conseille ce « restaurant », tenant plus de la cantine, à personne.
