One of our friends was in a wheelchair. She was called a pain in the neck upon arrival because this hadn't been specified when booking.
The restaurant was almost empty. We had booked for 8; in fact, there were 12 of us. We were in training and staying at the hotel next door.
4 extra covers. The waiter pointed this out and informed us that we would have to wait anyway because he only had one cook.
We got up to leave in the face of such lack of professionalism.
25/05/2025: We arrived at 12 instead of 10, rude staff, exasperated because one person was in a wheelchair. We ended up leaving without ordering given the reception

07/07/2025: This was my first experience at this restaurant. The mussels were very good and consistent. The fries were good. The crème brûlée, on the other hand, resembled a flan. Friendly staff.

15/12/2024: Sachant que c'est un restaurant d'insertion j'y allais en étant prêt à être assez conciliant....or tout s'est avéré très convenable : les plats étaient bons , le service normal et le prix très civilisé....donc pour déjeuner que demander de plus ?Je conseille toutefois d'arriver assez tôt ou de réserver.

27/09/2024: I decide to order by phone. The waitress who answers me asks me to wait.
After 6 minutes of waiting I hang up and decide to call back (forgetting can happen). The same waitress answers me and asks me to call back because she can't hear me well and hangs up on me (without being able to place one...)
I called back and expressed my displeasure between this long wait and the fact of hanging up on me.. With that, Mrs. really pisses me off and explains that she no longer even wants to take my order...
So I ordered from the one in Buxerolle where the reception was very different!

01/09/2024: As a celiac, being gluten free is not an option, it is crucial to my health and well-being.
I specifically stated that I can only have gluten free food in French and the waiter suggested a salad. I couldn't believe my eyes when the recommended goats cheese salad arrived with the cheese coated in bread crumbs and deep fried in gluten contaminated oil!! The lettuce in the salad was passed it's best in any case.
I ordered a duck dish which was reheated from frozen and looked anaemic at best.
Really disappointing as the venue is awesome! What a missed opportunity

But apart from the restaurant, the bar is pleasant

06/08/2024: At first I couldn't eat anything with my gluten intolerance. The manager saw me looking at the allergen card and asked if he could help me. He made me a gluten-free salad. This way I could eat here with my husband. Surprising experience.

06/08/2024: Leaving vacation, we had planned to eat at this place, we arrived at 10:30 p.m. and we were refused, the staff turned off the order terminals and asked us to queue with the cars at the Drive. Obviously after 10 minutes of waiting we have not advanced a single meter.
I also wanted to remind you that there were children who had to wait as pedestrians at the drive-thru to order. Staff request.
Orders could have been taken directly inside by the staff who seemed to no longer want to work.

30/11/2024: Previously we came with a good memory, but today for a menu of the day, an overcooked piece from the butcher, for a medium order, fries too greasy, only one choice of dessert, we took one from the menu , tiramisu, cloying cream, unsoaked biscuits, tasteless whole, and of course dessert paid in addition to the daily menu, at the time of the bill we gave our opinion, the waitress completely disinterested in what we can tell her!! We are not ordinary tourists, but locals, and therefore we will have the leisure to pass on our visit to your establishment,
16/11/2024: Excellent time at the Café de la Paix, whether bar or restaurant, we appreciated Emilia and the whole team for their responsiveness and the friendliness of the place.
