31/03/2024: a stop on the ski route to remember...quiet hotel, very clean and perfectly functional room, dinner at the brasserie pub excellent value for money, a delicious Norwegian omelette, a fantastic rum baba, perfect pluma and burger, breakfast delicious quality, restful night, excellent bedding. just 2 points to raise: Be careful of the closed garage which is not seriously closed, on arrival it was open and on departure when we had just locked it a young girl on an electric scooter arrived trying to enter the garage and seemed annoyed that 'it is closed...so it seems that it is certainly open to all winds during the day.. we had reserved our dinner table in a brasserie pub. We were automatically placed in a corner of the glass part in front of the station...next to 2 green high chairs and a locked door..we were guests of the hotel and we found it curious that they took us there even though the room was empty? Not really a nice location...why this choice even if 90% of the tables were reserved? we accept this location if the room is already full happy to have a table but this was not the case... Despite this, we will certainly come back next year with pleasure.

11/03/2024: The restaurant is really nice, the food is pretty good, the service is good. There is a bit of a lack of staff in the dining room and the lighting is a bit too bright.

05/05/2024: Nationale 7, a stop near Lapalisse, we were welcomed with a smile and advice on the map. We had planned to only have one main course and one dessert but the inventiveness of the starters such as: "Ramekin of frog dumplings" obliged us. Good for us. Everything is fresh, made in house, at a more than affordable price. The plates are prepared with care and the beautiful precedes the good. Served by an attentive and smiling waitress, we extended the stop to enjoy the ambiance of the room's decor. In short "whether there are two three four five six or seven", this restaurant is made for you and we... we will come back!

24/02/2024: We didn't know. Very friendly place. Very nice home. The waitress is very kind and professional. The meal was excellent from start to finish. Very refined and hearty. And knowing that everything is homemade is a significant plus. Value for money, nothing to complain about. Well done. We will come back.

31/01/2024: Very warm welcome from the whole team. The confit of lamb shank is delicious with its fine semolina and small vegetables. The beef tartare is also a treat with salad and new potatoes. Very good wines are offered to you. Everything is there to enjoy and have a great time. A small restaurant that is definitely worth the detour as well as the small town of Souvigny.

24/03/2024: Palm Sunday lunch with the family. Good and plentiful meal. The children enjoyed their steak fries. We will come back

29/09/2023: I stopped at La Taverne in Place Marcel Sauvaire, initially for a Café espresso after my ride through the local gorge. I liked the ambience and the view so I decided to stay for lunch. The menu is extensive with many choices, including 17 different pizza options. I chose the Spéciale. It was too much for me, so I only ate half, and they wrapped the other half in alfoil for me I recommend trying the spicy piment cardomame oil on your pizza. I then had a dessert. The dessert menu also has many options. I decided on the Sodade du cap vert. It was delicious. My waiter Gilles was patient with me due to my poor French pronunciation and brought me an Anglais menu, and spoke in English with me. He was attentive, but not too present.

30/04/2024: A CATHEDRAL OF HUMANITY. We went there for dinner because it was one of the few restaurants open in the center of Moulins. We ate, and we ate well. But the best thing about this place is the climate and atmosphere that its owner is able to generate. A girl was celebrating her 20th birthday with her parents, and a small group of friends. A true family party in which the owner of the restaurant joined by playing music and singing, and in which he lovingly made us participate. Edith Piaf, Jeannete, and even the wonderful and epic anthem of the Aviron Bayonnais. Wine, music and brotherly love between people have their small and humble cathedral in this friendly restaurant in Moulins. Thank you so much...!!!!

I still give the rating 3 stars because the waiter at the start of the service offers us the badoit and the vittel without offering us the carafe of water, this to encourage us to consume paid water and when serving the other tables They offered carafes of water. I didn't find it very honest at the start of the service. The service and cuisine still remains of high quality.

23/03/2024: A very beautiful place, but it's probably the only decent thing here. First, the masala. I was served recooked shrimp! In fact I received tikka prawns, charred which were put back in the masala sauce! Unthinkable in a restaurant to have a fried dish put back in a sauce. But hey, it was the end of service, why not. Except that the sauce itself was just a simple can of tomato sauce without any vegetables or anything, not even a piece of onion or a poor pepper. A can in short. 😤. Frankly, I am of Indian origin and of all the restaurants I have visited, I have never received such a massacre at the masala. And then we must also specify that for the price of €20, which is already beyond the average price, all this for a poor service...., you are only entitled to a small bowl containing only 4 prawns. Without the rice, which is an extra charge of almost €6... For one person... 😑 And we only learned that at the checkout. Just that for white rice... Very disappointed overall, because the photos looked really superb. 😥 So be warned. I do not recommend this restaurant, there are much better elsewhere... 😬
