This restaurant truly reconciled us with local cuisine and offered us an exceptional culinary experience. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by attentive and considerate staff, eager to make our evening a memorable one. Their professionalism and passion for catering was palpable at every moment. The restaurant's menu immediately won us over with its diversity and originality. Each dish offered was an invitation to a taste journey, highlighting the flavors and products of the region. We were delighted by the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the chef. 24/03/2024: Easily one of the best restaurants I have had in France so far! It was our last night in nice and the manager made an exception to host us and the experience was completely outstanding. We started with the parsley cream soup and the escargots. The parsley soup was light yet flavourful by itself but the depth of the flavours was enhanced by the poached egg. The escargots were presented in a crunchy crust with a garlicky sauce that complemented perfectly in terms of texture and flavour. For the mains we ordered the swordfish, the pork rib and the veal. I tried my friend’s swordfish and the sauce was truly an interesting combination that was zesty and refreshing which worked remarkably well with the swordfish! My friend appreciated the sides a lot. My wife took the veal which was very interesting in terms of flavour but was pretty ok in terms of the palette (as it seemed like an Asian spring roll with beef). For me I took the pork rib which was very well roasted and the cognac sauce was a perfect complement to the pork rib. For the end we finished with the highlight of the meal - the chef’s delirium as commented by everyone else. The chef’s delirium looked very exquisite and the flavours were layered which unfolded as you consume the dish. (This part I leave unexplained to not spoil the surprise). Not so sure I might come to nice again but if I do I will definitely come again! PS: Photos do not do the food justice

27/04/2024: Nice surprise, we were passing through Vallauris and we were pleasantly surprised, everything was good!

06/04/2024: Discovery menu concept that I really appreciate. But the dishes lack surprise, wow. On this kind of proposition we expect the universe of a chef and not just the good ones. And I have a big problem with the appetizer: a glass of “couscous” (semolina/raisin) with an emulsion on top and a carrot top. For what?? It's rubbish and one of the worst entries for a menu of this type. Good meat dish with a strong juice and the rest is decent. Veggie menu for my partner for the evening where the proteins were replaced twice by roasted onion, yeah... Finally wine by the glass: lack of choice and young wine: Croze Hermitage white 2023 & a Pineau noir en Coteaux Bourguignon 2022 (11&12€). I would have liked to have a slightly more sophisticated proposal to accompany the menu or even a wine pairing proposal. In conclusion, I may be too critical but this reflects disappointment in a promise that appealed to me and it turned out to be too dull for my taste.

03/04/2024: Reservation made after the TV report in January 2024. We had lunch there on Easter Day. Very warm welcome from the whole team. The “surprise” dishes were tasty, creative and seasonal. We feasted. Address to discover!

29/01/2024: My wife and I had the great pleasure of having our marriage here. It was absolutely spectacular. The night sky, the nature, the lakes, the streams, we had our dream celebration. Jean-Paul is very easy to work with, although he works by mountain rules, they are people of honour and if you say you are coming, you are coming and that's it. Which was very strange from my usual understanding with contracts and deposits. Jean-Paul is incredibly honourable and it was very unusual to work in this way for me. The food is unbelievable, I consider myself a foodie, I have been coming to the South of France for the last 15 years and the restaurant is among the top 3 food I have eaten in the area. This was a VERY pleasant surprise. There IS a taxi driver in the area with a mini-bus that you can get to drive you around. That is very necessary if bringing many people because the area is very remote. The accommodations are very very pleasant. We were very pleasantly pleased. The price is very fair and reasonable. We had a superb experience and we would love to go back soon.Thank you team Relais des Merveilles!

04/04/2024: I just discovered this restaurant and am absolutely delighted! The owners take great care to make us feel comfortable and the home cooking is of high quality! I also recommend the “over time” cocktail to sip with a rather nice view! I learned that we could privatize the place for events and that there were theme evenings... Looking forward to trying it! It's nice to find a place where you feel so good... I recommend it with my eyes closed!
