04/07/2025: we stopped here by chance after spending some time around villefranche. 2 of our friends were visibly not feeling well. no hi or hello, restaurant was close to empty and we were immediately sat down outside. the waitress came around and took drink orders in which we all ordered at least one. when it came to food, we wanted to split a pasta between two of us, and she told us it would not be possible and then wrote down 2 orders instead of just one, forcing us to each get a plate after we told her we are not hungry enough to each have a full 30 euro plate. our other friends wanted to split a pizza which she then said would be impossible and tried to force everyone to order their own pizza even after we told her we all just wanted to split and we each had ordered a drink already individually. we were then met with very rude remarks including her constantly telling us that we shouldn’t have come and that we should just stay at home. she was very aggressive which led to us canceling the order and leaving before having to put any hassle on the poor kitchen. she then grabbed all the menus from the table and essentially kicked us out while yelling down the street that we should just stay at home and cursed us out in french. we remained as civil and courteous as possible, but i would avoid this restaurant at all costs. i am even being kind now by not rating the food 1 star as we did not have any, but i stand firm in saying that the environment makes this place not even worth going to. as our waitress said herself, better to stay at home than eat here! there are much more friendly and nicer spots literally steps away from this place. avoid at all costs if you don’t want to be humiliated.

29/08/2024: I took the "good mood" dish, so the signature dish of the restaurant of the same name I suppose... simple salad with 4 shrimps, basic smoked salmon and a "crab" tartar, rather surimi/industrial crab.
The plate remained pretty with toast and tomatoes to accompany
Very good salmon tartar on the other hand.
Unpleasant service.
Very beautiful view.

31/03/2024: My mum and I are customers of the tea room since day 1 and we used to love this place. Unfortunately 3rd unpleasant experience in a row: waiter is completely rude and poor customer service. We won’t support this local company place anymore! A shame for Villefranche notoriety!

30/03/2024: Best hotel experience we've had to date, fantastic view, friendly and professional staff who do everything to ensure you have a simple and nice stay. Perhaps the flowers in the breakfast restaurant need to be changed a little more often, but this is in the petty department.

23/09/2024: Take a walk along the waterfront and recoil at the prices for average food, drink and service.
Then take a walk up the alley between Spallato and Wine Pier.
Don't be put off by the basic looking place or staff.
Sit down, you will be attended to by very friendly & efficient waiters.
The food is very original & authentic.
Prepared and presented beautifully by the chef.

28/08/2024: We spent the day at the Hotel swimming pool, we were in the presence of a summer camp swimming pool, children shouting, diving, toys lying around on the edge.... at no time was the staff there. intervened to calm things down, in short we wanted calm, it was a failure, we won't come back.
In addition, a small renovation of the swimming pool would be welcome because its general condition leaves something to be desired.
20/08/2024: Restaurant with the terrace at the top of the hotel -> excellent cuisine and service / but if you come alone you get almost no 'adequate' space we will put you aside. 🥲 too bad...

22/08/2024: Not with the aim of harming but for improvement. We ate here last night for the first time but the pizzas were disgusting. A cannibal + one with chicken goat, not one to catch the other... No taste of the dough and the tomato sauce to all the other ingredients on the pizzas. Fortunately nothing was lost because the dogs of the passers-by we met had a great time.
However the 2 young men in the pizzeria were very friendly and energetic, the service was good.
01/08/2024: I am used to ordering often from pfc this evening very very disappointed we ordered 3 French are taste and we did not have the drinks and a calzone goat cheese pizza the same not cooked and very little goat cheese and we no longer ordered one big bottle of coke we had u. Ice tea

14/09/2025: They're getting a little less young, it's true, but waiting half an hour for a crok or a salad and getting an overcooked minced beef steak and an inedible rib-eye steak like the fries bought next door at Picard, a mixed salad with three small Chavignol goat's cheeses, luckily there's a lot of salad on the plate, it's time they took on a little intern on the weekend, they get very busy very quickly but know how to take the money and give change, really, we go there quite often but are more and more disappointed, the boss Henri, depending on the day, depending on his humor and depending on the day

19/09/2024: It's been a long time since I went there because I was disappointed. But there, I bought a piece of Aigues Mortes fougasse and the dough, as incredible as it may seem, was raw, it stuck to the paper, I don't know how they didn't see it.
06/09/2024: I came here after searching for a delicious bakery on Google Maps for breakfast.
The pain au chocolat was soft, so it was probably from yesterday.
The cappuccino also had too much milk.
