20/03/2026: Sunny terrace, friendly welcome, reasonably priced dishes; we opted for the sirloin steak, tender and flavorful meat. The only slight drawback: the coffee, it's €3 and frankly awful... faulty machine? Poor quality coffee? It's a shame, especially at €3... On the other hand, and contrary to some reviews, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

18/03/2026: Felt super welcomed and service was great as I am a wheelchair user so that is not always the case in some places, but here they were quick to adapt for my needs at whatever table I wanted to sit at! The only downside I had was that I had gotten a tiramisu for dessert. But honestly I got a cup of cream on top of ginger biscuits... Well that's how it tasted to me anyway

22/03/2026: Dishonest service and an inflated bill; we paid 6 euros for "still water" but it was just a carafe of water. Avoid at all costs!

19/02/2026: Small pizzeria in an alley. One person handles everything. The pizzas aren't as generously topped as they used to be, but the ingredients are decent. The price is reasonable.

25/03/2026: Perfect, you can go without any problem. The welcome was very friendly; the "graying" waiter in the evening was very pleasant and funny, and the cooks were excellent. Great evening! Good food

25/03/2026: As a regular, I can only praise this place; everything is perfect. The food, the service, the staff, and the atmosphere are all very pleasant for a great evening. The gray-haired waiter is always efficient and very funny; we always have a good time. I am very surprised by Mr. Galdo François's comment, who seems dissatisfied with most of the places he frequents.

12/11/2025: The only café in France where you get a torrent of insults from the waitress. This woman's nervousness, spitefulness, vulgarity, and rudeness are astounding. As a resident of Villefranche, I like to stop by from time to time for a drink, alone or with friends. I don't go there very often, so they don't know me. Until now, I had always been well received, by a young man, a middle-aged gentleman, or a lady with short blond hair. But this morning, I encountered an aggressive harpy who unleashed all her venom and a string of obscenities on me. I am a lady of a certain age, who came to relax and support the local businesses. I was so shocked that I won't be going back anytime soon! A disgrace to this village! The following text is the comment left on the town hall website. Beautiful location, very pleasant welcome. However, I feel compelled to share on the town hall website a terrible experience I had this morning at the Café de la Paix. Given that this establishment is located within the town limits, I feel it's important to bring it to the attention of the Mayor. Having lived in Villefranche for a year, I occasionally, though admittedly quite rarely, stop by the Café de la Paix for a drink while playing the lottery. Always warmly welcomed until now by the young man, the older gentleman, or the short-haired blonde woman, I never imagined that one day I would be greeted so aggressively and subjected to a barrage of insults and obscenities! I ordered an aperitif and asked if it would be possible to have some side dishes, which I was willing to pay for. The violent response from this hysterical woman shocked me so much that I asked for a refund because I no longer wished to remain in the establishment. She replied, and I quote, "Sit on your ass." I'd never experienced anything like it in my entire life. A real slob, and incredibly rude. I'm over sixty, I'm a mother and grandmother, and in my world, we show politeness, good manners, good upbringing, courtesy, and elegant speech. I think it's best not to drink when you work in a café! In any case, this person is completely out of place.
