27/08/2025: At the beginning of the summer, I had the chance to go to this restaurant with my family. The owner of the establishment was very friendly and we were able to talk with her at length during our visit. In terms of gastronomy, everything on the menu was tempting. Each dish was made with local products. I personally had the right to a succulent goat cheese and honey salad with seasonal vegetables and goat cheese from a producer near Vals, it was delicious. In summary, I recommend anyone coming to Vals to try this restaurant, it is well worth the detour.

20/02/2026: Excellent ice cream, the only downside is that we went there yesterday, February 19th. Of course, we checked beforehand to make sure it was open. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when we arrived! It was closed and under construction. The least you could do is update your opening hours and let people know you're closed.

18/03/2026: It's a shame the night was disturbed by a strong smell of cigarettes which we reported to reception and the noise for part of the night from the machinery that was tarring the tunnel exit.
21/02/2026: Bike-friendly. Excellent value for money for the room. Very good breakfast for the price. Very good restaurant. Open off-season. The telephone reception was excellent; you could hear the smile of the person on the other end. The welcome on-site was perfect, regardless of the team member. Thoughtful touches that made our stay special. Thank you for this wonderful stay.

02/01/2026: The pizzas (thin crust) were good. The price was very reasonable. The staff were friendly. The welcome was good, but the restaurant (although small) wasn't heated... so we had to cut our meal short... what a shame!

Recent negative reviews demonstrate that this new management has not lived up to the quality of welcome you experienced in previous seasons.
29/08/2025: We had booked several rooms for a sports competition. As early as May, we reported an error (an extra room on the reservation). Despite numerous reminders, the hotel received no response, and we were billed for the room.
It's very disappointing to see this lack of professionalism and communication, as we haven't received any feedback to date.

10/11/2024: Pleasant time spent in this restaurant on September 4, 2023 where we were able to taste a mature entrecote. So good that we decided to return to Ardèche while salivating in advance. Full restaurant, yet no wine list (we were informed, after taking our order before even asking us about the desired aperitifs, that they were on display in the entrance to the restaurant).
Great disappointment to find a plate decorated with salad, baked potatoes without interest, without sauce except mayo ketchup in a sachet, and unripe entrecote. (While still written on the card)
Bitter taste of less quality products in less than a year at the same price.

As you can see, we won't be back!
10/10/2025: Super friendly welcome from the owners. The rooms are a little small, but that's not a criticism; everything is explained in the booklet in the room. It's just for your information; it didn't bother me. Superb location, great breakfast. Private parking, that's a plus. The owner listens to you and is very welcoming. I highly recommend it.

Bons plats avec des produits locaux mais pas très copieux…pour un prix assez élevé
