15/02/2026: A very welcoming restaurant, a beautiful dining room, a well-set table, and sophisticated dishes that are truly different from the everyday.
25/01/2026: We've rarely eaten so well ordering a simple set menu: starter, main course, dessert, and coffee, all included. The dishes were beautifully presented, delicious, and the value for money was unbeatable. We stopped by during a hike and will definitely be back.

I have traveled quite a bit and I have rarely eaten so well and plentifully in my life in this type of establishment. In addition, the service is impeccable and the timing respected.
Go there with your eyes closed!!!!

Very friendly waiters.
The only downside was that, since I hadn't finished my meal, I asked for a doggy bag, which they charged me €1.50 for without telling me beforehand.
It's a shame to realize this after a long time.

18/02/2026: We came during the spring festival and it's clear that this restaurant is a vital part of the lifeblood of the small village of La Douze! The food is high quality, we thoroughly enjoyed it!
16/02/2026: Arrived at La Douze on a Monday at noon. The first open restaurant I found. A complete meal: soup + charcuterie platter + short rib + profiteroles for dessert for 17 euros—you couldn't ask for better. The meal was very generous and the meat excellent. It's a shame the charcuterie platter only had 10 slices of rosette sausage, fewer slices of salami, but with a little terrine and a small slice of cured ham, it would have been perfect. Given the price, I can't complain. I enjoyed my meal and told everyone I did.
Although the person who served me had lost their voice, their friendliness, good humor, and smile made for a very pleasant break. When it came time to pay, I received a second pleasant surprise: a glass of wine and a coffee were offered with the 17-euro menu. I highly recommend this place; I had a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere.

It kind of spoils the visit.
It's not a very welcoming park...
It's a shame because it's the only one nearby, and it's quite large!
Disappointed...

11/03/2026: We go there very often, we're never disappointed, unbeatable value for money, the welcome is excellent, the girls are very friendly. A tip: remember to book, it's often full, which proves it's a very good brasserie 😁
10/03/2026: The welcome wasn't very warm; the waitresses were impolite and just looked at us without responding when we said hello! It took far too long to be served from appetizer to dessert. The main course arrived half-cold.

12/08/2024: Nous nous sommes régalés ! De bons produits, des plats copieux et très goûteux ! Adresse à recommander... Certes un peu en dehors de la ville mais aussi en dehors des "attrapes-touristes" de la vieille ville. N'hésitez plus, allez leur rendre visite. En plus, le chef est super sympa !

21/06/2025: Four of us dined at this table d'hôtes last night. We sat outside on the lovely terrace; the food was delicious, everything freshly prepared, and you could taste it. Grete is a very friendly Belgian hostess. Hats off to her for managing everything on her own. Absolutely recommended if you're staying in the area. Make sure to book in advance!
04/05/2025: Absolutely incredible, a must-try in St. Avit Seigneur! A set menu where you'll be guided by the lady who cooks and serves at the same time!

24/07/2024: The food was mediocre. The quality was not in line with the price.
10/07/2024: We really enjoyed our stay at La Bastidr. The owners did their best to accommodate us and went above and beyond making us a vegan meal for lunch and dinner. The pool was fun for our daughter who very much enjoyed playing with Laurinda, the owners daughter. Thank you so much for having us!
