30/08/2026: We had a very pleasant stay at Le Prieuré. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant: a special mention for the rib-eye steaks cooked over an open fire—absolutely delicious! But everything else was excellent, from the appetizers to the main courses… and above all, don't miss the desserts, they are incredible!
The owners are charming, welcoming, and very attentive. And to top it all off, a perfect breakfast!
A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend and where we will gladly return.

A perfectly successful weekend!
The managers and all the staff are fantastic: friendly, helpful, and the food was perfect, with a fire pit and spit-roasted ham.
The grounds are vast and offer plenty of activities.
We highly recommend this establishment.

09/09/2026: A must-try! We had a fantastic time with friends at this inn. The authenticity of the place and the warm staff are truly appreciated! The menu is simple but effective; everything is delicious and the portions are reasonable. As an added bonus, there are plenty of walks to enjoy around the restaurant. The manager can give you information after a quick visit to the local produce shop. 😉

05/09/2026: Passing through Clermont, and being of Portuguese origin, we stopped at this restaurant which was full... we were told to wait between 20 and 30 minutes... after a 25-minute wait, they politely informed us that the restaurant was no longer serving food! Great! Especially with a child who has a motor disability... appalling.
If you're looking for the warm welcome and friendliness of Portugal, look elsewhere. Absolutely no respect for customers.
31/07/2026: They should close to the public and set up a drive-through only for phone and online orders… You go there on a Saturday at 7:50 PM and they tell you they only have chicken for phone or online orders…

24/08/2025: We ate there three years ago on our way back from vacation, and we did the same again this year... and it was just as excellent as ever!
The frogs' legs with their gratin (simply superb), the black-eyed pea mushrooms... in short, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and so did our children!
We learned that they're retiring in a month (well deserved!!) but that the next generation will be in good hands... stay tuned!
We wish you a wonderful retirement and thank you again for this fantastic recommendation!

29/03/2026: First of all, the staff were very friendly... a lovely owner... and traditional cuisine with generous portions.
We ate very well, enjoying the truffade and charcuterie.
The only slight drawback was the very expensive wine, but that's just my personal opinion, and I highly recommend this establishment.

An unpretentious restaurant. The food is decent and reasonably priced.
It was the only restaurant nearby on the route, and I was ravenous when I stopped.

09/07/2026: As always, super delicious and generous portions. I ordered a large plate of kebab and thoroughly enjoyed it. Super welcoming in every way, they're top-notch.
12/06/2026: I used to go to Stan's often and even thought it was one of the best kebabs in the Puy-de-Dôme region. But charging extra for asking for a little more meat on a plate that's getting more and more expensive while you're putting less and less meat on it is outrageous. The meat quality has gone down, the bread that comes with it is disgusting, and I don't know where the ketchup comes from. The restaurant is crawling with flies, and I was sick all night. Honestly, this is the last time you'll see me in your establishment…

Superb welcoming, very friendly. I had, or course the thai cakes, "fish & chips" and brandy snap. We also tested the mixed grill and other "entrees" and deserts.
Whaaaou , from A o Z, it was an absolute thrill!
Tank you to the team of "les Roches". We will be back!

N’ayant pas eu le temps de regarder les avis avant d’y entrer, nous avons constaté par nous même l’hygiène déplorable (tant sur le sol, dans les wc) : l’horreur !
Concernant le repas : servi en 3’ top chrono après la commande. La truffade n’était que pommes de terre sèches tant elles ont été réchauffées, sans aucun gout de fromage et en quantité dérisoire. La charcuterie sortait tout droit d’un supermarché et pas des meilleurs ! Absolument rien de typique ni local à un prix déraisonnable.
