09/03/2026: Easy parking before reaching the lake.
Several hiking trails are available.
The loop around the lake itself is very easy and takes about an hour.
We did the loop around the lake and Puy de Montchal (1407m): about 3 hours. You can bring a picnic (there was still a little snow on March 7th). Beautiful panoramic views.

The seasonal, locally sourced dishes were delicious! The trout tartare with beetroot butter was excellent, the asparagus dishes were very good, and the floating island dessert, while a classic, was very well presented. I highly recommend this restaurant (there's a large fireplace for grilled meats!). The service is impeccable too!
PS: The place has excellent acoustics: very quiet, which is lovely!
05/05/2026: We celebrated one of our sons' birthdays with family at Le Prieuré.
The dinner was excellent, especially the dry-aged beef ribs cooked over a wood fire, the asparagus risotto, and a divine strawberry cake! Kudos to the chef and his professional and very friendly team!

24/08/2025: We ate there three years ago on our way back from vacation, and we did the same again this year... and it was just as excellent as ever!
The frogs' legs with their gratin (simply superb), the black-eyed pea mushrooms... in short, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and so did our children!
We learned that they're retiring in a month (well deserved!!) but that the next generation will be in good hands... stay tuned!
We wish you a wonderful retirement and thank you again for this fantastic recommendation!

29/03/2026: First of all, the staff were very friendly... a lovely owner... and traditional cuisine with generous portions.
We ate very well, enjoying the truffade and charcuterie.
The only slight drawback was the very expensive wine, but that's just my personal opinion, and I highly recommend this establishment.
15/02/2026: For Valentine's Day, we were worried our evening would be noisy and crowded, but not at all! We had a wonderful evening. The food was excellent, and the waitresses were lovely. The children's menu for our 5-year-old daughter was very generous and delicious! Our fondues were incredible too! I highly recommend it! Thank you for this wonderful discovery.

03/03/2026: I ate at the Auberge du Tilleul and, contrary to Hysteria BMX's claims, I completely deny their statements about the origin of the products; they are utterly defamatory. This gentleman seems dissatisfied everywhere he eats, while I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

05/10/2024: What a wonderfull experience! We went there to try as a "recon team" for my english conversation club.
Superb welcoming, very friendly. I had, or course the thai cakes, "fish & chips" and brandy snap. We also tested the mixed grill and other "entrees" and deserts.
Whaaaou , from A o Z, it was an absolute thrill!
Tank you to the team of "les Roches". We will be back!

05/10/2024: One of the best places to have a meal. The hosts, Richard and Andrew are such welcoming people. Every time we come there we’re made to feel welcome and Andy’s meals are so good. We hope to come back many times.

N’ayant pas eu le temps de regarder les avis avant d’y entrer, nous avons constaté par nous même l’hygiène déplorable (tant sur le sol, dans les wc) : l’horreur !
Concernant le repas : servi en 3’ top chrono après la commande. La truffade n’était que pommes de terre sèches tant elles ont été réchauffées, sans aucun gout de fromage et en quantité dérisoire. La charcuterie sortait tout droit d’un supermarché et pas des meilleurs ! Absolument rien de typique ni local à un prix déraisonnable.
