09/02/2026: Visually, a typical, cozy English pub. Many staff members were on duty at lunchtime, completely uncoordinated (for example, we had to ask for the menu and placemat three times). There were very long waits before a server appeared at our table (and then didn't respond). Napkins weren't brought, so we got them ourselves. The bill only arrived when we were ready to leave, etc. In the end, we spent over 1.5 hours in the pub for a mediocre burger – the pub is unsuitable for a short, relaxing stop during a day of skiing. It would have been much better with fast, competent service... The pub was significantly better staffed a few years ago. A shame.

23/01/2026: A truly astonishing experience… in the worst possible way!!! I never would have believed that in 2026, a hotel could still refuse a guest after 9:30 pm. This is probably the only establishment in France that considers travelers a nuisance! My reservation, made on Tuesday, January 20th for an arrival on Friday, January 23rd, was perfectly confirmed. I had even specified that I would be arriving late, since I was coming from the south of France. Nothing unusual, until that fateful phone call on the road. The receptionist, charming and impeccably professional, explained, slightly embarrassed, that her boss had ordered her to no longer accept anyone after 9:30 pm. Fortunately, she knows her job: she even described the protocol for late arrivals, with an external key box and an access code, and kindly sent me photos of the system – location, code, everything. Everything was ready for a smooth stay. But clearly, the owner prefers guests who go to bed before him. He refused to implement this protocol, claiming that this solution was "reserved for regulars." In other words: if you have the misfortune of not being a regular customer, move along, your reservation is worthless. A contemptuous, anti-business, and outdated attitude. One really wonders what kind of "hospitality professional" closes their doors at 9:30 p.m. when everything is ready to welcome a tired traveler. When a hotelier treats their guests this way, they don't deserve the name "hotel," much less the trust of travelers. Absolutely avoid!

22/01/2026: Our travel agent booked our group here recently. We were a large group. They were very efficient serving the drinks and pizza to us. Our group thought the pizza was fantastic. I would say 2 people could share the one portion if you usually eat 3 slices. If you have a larger appetite then the full pizza portion is food. Everyone in our group had various pizzas and they thought it was great. Highly recommend them if you are visiting this area.

Every time we're in Valloire, it's a must-stop. 🤤 We're never disappointed: a menu bursting with mountain flavors 🛘, featuring top-quality cheeses and charcuterie, and exquisite desserts! 🍰

21/03/2026: The half-chicken was beautifully presented and very good value for money. Reasonable prices for a mountain restaurant, around €25 on average for a main course and dessert. The waiter was pleasant and the service was quick. I recommend it 👍🏻

23/03/2026: A very nice hotel with a spa and treatments where we had a great weekend. The bar and restaurant were perfect. The staff was very professional. I recommend it.

22/03/2026: The room with a lake view was very pleasant. The evening meal wasn't exceptional (set menu), but the breakfast was very generous. Access to the spa and pool was far too crowded. In a place like this, you're looking for peace and quiet and to be able to enjoy the facilities, and at the price you pay, it was a total disappointment. The spa treatment was very disappointing; it lasted 50 minutes instead of an hour, the room was cold, and no hot drink was offered to conclude what should have been a pleasant experience! And as for finding your way out, well, you're on your own. I don't recommend this place, and we won't be returning. A very expensive weekend getaway for what was provided!

21/03/2026: The wellness area is pure bliss; we can't wait to come back. The massage was fantastic... and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. As a regular visitor to Valmeinier, this is exactly what was missing. We are absolutely delighted.
