21/09/2026: Small and cozy in a nice part of Bastille with reasonable prices.
Staff are very kind - I spilled my drink before even taking a sip (it was 100% my fault) and the barmaid gave me another for free

26/08/2026: I was with a friend after a day at the seaside and we wanted to have aperitivo there around 5:30 pm. The waitress said they were closing, while it's not true cause there were still people eating and on google it's written that the closing time is at 7 pm.
There were a lot of seats available.
I don't know why... Maybe we were not chic enough for the location? Or are they simply against nationalities different from French?

27/07/2026: Spoiled meat, ordered two simple cheeses yesterday, two of us got food poisoning. Avoid at all costs!
27/06/2026: They reduced the portions while keeping the same prices; the chicken curry sandwich was half empty, beware!!! I won't be back and I don't recommend it! Avoid at all costs!

25/08/2026: Very disappointing experience. My girlfriend and I stopped by on a very hot day simply to buy some water and cool down for a moment. I bought a bottle to take away, and since the café was completely empty with plenty of free tables, we sat down briefly to drink some water before leaving.
The bartender/owner immediately confronted us because the water had been purchased “to go.” When I explained that we were only sitting for a minute because of the heat, he raised his voice, started shouting aggressively and eventually told us to leave.
Completely unacceptable treatment of customers. Seeing two people, including a woman clearly needing some water and a moment out of the heat, and responding with hostility instead of basic hospitality says a lot about this place.
I strongly recommend avoiding it while people with this attitude are working here. A disgraceful way to represent such a beautiful city.

20/09/2024: Nous avons vraiment été séduits par cet endroit, tant par le cadre charmant, en bord de nive, que par l’accueil chaleureux des patrons.
Sans oublier évidemment les plats délicieux avec une cuisine maison et des produits frais.
Une super adresse à Bayonne, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir !

20/08/2024: We had 4 courses - the food was good albeit the bread is not the best. We asked for a wine menu as the menu we were given was it only by the glass I asked if we could order a bottle the waitress who spoke very good English said she would have to check and came back and stated they only serve by the glass so I ordered 3 glasses (which were very small) which cost 24 euros and my partner had 2 beers at 18 euros. At the end of the meal I looked around and noticed that 3 tables all had bottles of wine - they were all French, I called the waitress over and ask why we were not able to order a bottle of wine etc and she said sorry I don’t speak good English I didn’t understand which was totally in correct - please note they do do bottles even though they refuse to give you a menu
04/08/2024: Superbe endroit pour déguster des plats variés la planche de charcuterie était excellente et la sélection des vins est impressionnante même dans les palaces cannois la sélection n'est pas autant varié pour les vins. Le serveur en salle etait top ! Nous reviendrons à l'occasion

04/09/2024: I ordered a cannelle and cappuccino while waiting for my train. So, the cannelle was really delicious, but the coffee was terrible 😅 The same happened with my friend - she really liked her dessert, but couldn’t drink the coffee as it wasn’t good at all. I think it would be better if we bought water or tea instead of that cappuccino.

Cela fait plus de vingt ans que j’y viens à chaque séjour à Menton et plusieurs fois séjour.
Tout est un régal ici. J’ai tellement hâte d’y retourner dès le jour de notre arrivée le 12 août prochain !!!

09/11/2025: I stopped in front of this restaurant in the middle of my marathon, at kilometer 32, completely in trouble with cramps in both hamstrings. The waiter saw my distress and came running like a hero with a large glass of water and a salt shaker. A handful of salt later, I was back on my feet to finish the race!
Honestly, five-star service, even for runners in distress on the sidewalk 😄 Thanks for the rescue!

21/06/2024: Pan bagnat sans aucun goût, rien à l’intérieur (2 tranches chiffonnade d’œuf, idem pour les tomates, 3 rondelles de radis, équivalent 2cc de thon) 6.90euros une arnaque complète !!! Très très déçue…
