26/12/2025: After two cancellations without apologies or discounts, we finally managed to eat at the restaurant. The dining room was poorly heated, and we were cold all evening. The meal was good, but nothing special for a Michelin-starred establishment. Other restaurants in the Gien area are worth recommending; they are less expensive, better, and offer more elaborate menus.

The staff were laughing in front of everyone while there was a wait.
All four of our set menus arrived ice cold. The raclette burgers weren't cooked at all. The cheese wasn't melted. My husband was sick all night.
This is unacceptable. There should be more oversight, especially in this restaurant.
We won't be back.
18/03/2026: Friendly welcome, pleasant staff. Order received within a reasonable timeframe. I recommend them.

24/03/2026: I rarely leave reviews, and even less often negative ones, but after a while, we ordered 6 Infinity Stars and got 5, which is still okay. We asked for drinks without ice, and that's practically all they had. We ordered extra sugar in our Coke and didn't get it. We paid for the Mario star and didn't get it. We ordered a 280 raclette, but without the raclette cheese 🤨 (the original, no raclette cheese!), and so on. I'm really disappointed. I'll never go there again. Oh, and let's not forget the annoying kiosks that weren't working.
23/03/2026: I ordered the CBO raclette, but the chicken inside was raw, which is really unacceptable.

26/02/2026: Warning: Questionable hygiene, the table service needs improvement. The waitress, whom I know, had a cold look, neither greeting nor "enjoy your meal."
The burger was completely cold, and the fries were the same. However, the Coke was excessive, with a glass only slightly full.

They mixed up the chicken and the steak, used barbecue sauce instead of ketchup, the quality was awful, the portion was tiny, and that's not all… I called, but there was no manager and the responses were completely stupid and unprofessional. What is the health department doing when I see the previous comments, which I wholeheartedly agree with?! Don't eat there under any circumstances. I miss the Subway in Olivet.

28/11/2025: I've traveled a lot in my life. I've seen all sorts of things, both good and bad! I've walked on many soils, from Châteauroux to Vierzon, from South Africa to the mountains of Nepal; I've experienced many landscapes and encountered many peoples.
Well, of all these experiences, never—and I mean never—have I had such wonderful moments as in this café-bistro-tobacco shop. And all this, of course, thanks to the staff! Not only do they move with a grace worthy of Swan Lake, but their intelligence would make even the greatest disciples of Socrates green with envy, and their kindness would make Sister Emmanuelle look like a torturer.
Once settled in a comfortable chair on the terrace, facing a square so magnificent it deserves to be among the Seven Wonders of the World, you might have the pleasure of listening to Alain-Didier. Its verve will tickle your ears: it is, quite simply, beautiful.

31/01/2026: Takeaway hamburgers with almost no sauce, and the Big Mac, supposedly the restaurant's flagship item, has become minimalist: two patties and no sauce. The photos speak for themselves.
30/01/2026: We placed our order at the drive-thru at 11:15 PM and weren't served until 11:48 PM. Unacceptable! Bravo! 33 minutes for a 208, Big Mac, and Happy Meal.

04/03/2026: Unbelievable wait to pay for service! Unacceptable for supposedly fast service! Over 30 minutes waiting to pay while standing, we were being ignored, but nobody came. This isn't the first time. Ugh, it's getting worse and worse at McDonald's Gien.
02/03/2026: A double cheeseburger with bacon but no bacon, broken cup bases, and more open cups—you can imagine the result. An employee using his phone in the kitchen and arguing with his colleagues in front of customers.

30/08/2024: We hadn't been here for a few years and we were very disappointed. We have visited the place many times, in small groups or for family reunions, and it has always been a taste pleasure.
Forced to see that the quality is no longer there. We ordered two sirloin steaks which tasted nothing like a sirloin but rather a sinewy piece of grilling. Impossible to finish. We asked for a doggy bag, and they gave us the meat in a ball in cellophane.
The wine list mainly contains wines that are very easily found in supermarkets. Really limited value for money. The origin of the meats is not indicated. I was a little doubtful when we had dinner (and not lunch) for barely more money the next day in Fontainebleau with a good portion of local products or products whose origin was at least indicated.
While a cooking error was reported on the neighboring table and the service was clearly long for a lunch, a service person ended up responding very coldly to the customer who was just worried about the clock that was ticking for her. I also asked to change my wine glass which was chipped in two places. The feeling of annoying the waiter clearly. It's regrettable in a town like Malesherbes that "The" good address is evolving like this.
