03/08/2026: It's a disaster. I've come for the umpteenth time, and it's still just as disappointing. I waited at the kiosk for 15 minutes with no one there, then another 20 minutes to finally get my order. The people waiting, like me, were completely fed up. Oh, and when you order a New York strip, it's not the strip with mayonnaise. In short, I won't be back because, frankly, everything needs to be rethought here.

11/07/2026: A fantastic find! This brasserie has everything you need for a wonderful time: generous portions, quality ingredients, and delicious dishes prepared with care. The service is impeccable; the staff is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere is convivial, and you immediately feel at ease. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

10/07/2026: A truly authentic café (which draws a crowd on match nights, both football and rugby). Tourists seeking authenticity would be better off going here than to the tourist traps along the canal... The decor has been redone, the location is ideal, the service is friendly and unpretentious, and the 6 oysters + 1 glass of wine deal for 11 euros drew us in every other day for 10 days. An institution!

17/07/2026: We enjoyed the snail feast last night at Le Globe and had a wonderful evening. The snails were delicious, a real treat! The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which contributes to a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the family-friendly feel of the restaurant. There were children present, everyone was welcome, and it's truly delightful to be able to enjoy a restaurant where families are greeted with a smile. You feel comfortable and relaxed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you to the entire team for this lovely time. We will definitely be back!

17/07/2026: After a successful first visit this winter, we returned to this restaurant hoping to enjoy another delicious cargolade. What a disappointment! The snails were either overcooked or undercooked (on the same grill) and extremely salty. The duck breast served was more like half or a third of a breast…it was difficult to cut and completely tasteless. It came with three asparagus spears and a few fries. The service was appalling: the snails arrived without aioli, then the aioli without bread (we were told it was still cooking…), and so on. The fourth diner received their duck breast fifteen minutes after the snails…The wine arrived completely late as well! We certainly won't be returning a third time.

19/07/2026: Not halal, which is a shame, otherwise it's very clean visually, not a speck of dirt. My personal gebtillemeng was directed to another one that was halal.

26/07/2026: A word of advice: TURN AROUND! We came for drinks and a snack. We shouldn't have. So we ordered: a latte, a decaf, and being a tea lover, I naturally ordered a tea too. Negative points: The dishes were dirty, barely washed… there were dried coffee stains on the spoons and cups, the decaf was incredibly bitter, but the tea! It tasted awful, like it was several years old, which wouldn't surprise me given the rather yellowed bag… after some research, I found my answer: it was a cheap, low-quality "Lord Nelson" tea from Lidl. Probably expired. And when I see the characteristics of this tea, I immediately understand the problem. The latte was undrinkable… If the drinks are already awful, there's no point even questioning the quality of the food! 🤮 Anyway, we saw people ordering food… and they didn't even finish their plates! The only positive point: The young waitress, who was very smiley and kind. Sure, the prices are affordable, but if you're going to eat and drink disgusting things, it's not worth it. We won't be back! 😤

26/07/2026: We were looking for a restaurant to eat at before heading home (end of vacation), and we stopped at this restaurant. In all the years we've come to Argelès, I'd never thought to stop here. It was very good, we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh ingredients, and the waitresses were very pleasant. We'll be back. Combining authenticity and generosity, here's my experience: 🇮🇹 What We Loved (The Positives) • The Quality of the Products: This is the restaurant's strong point. The ingredients are fresh, carefully sourced, and you can taste it from the first bite. The Italian cured meats and cheeses are remarkably refined. • The Mastery of Pizzas: The dough is light, airy, and perfectly cooked in a wood-fired oven. These are far from mass-produced pizzas; here, tradition is respected. • The Setting: The restaurant has a warm atmosphere and tasteful decor, making it a very pleasant place for a romantic dinner or a meal with friends. 🧊 The downside (The welcome) • The service: This is unfortunately where things fell short. While the meal itself was flawless, the waitress's attitude created a bit of a chill. The welcome was rather distant, even icy, sorely lacking the smile and warmth one expects in an establishment with Mediterranean flavors. At times, you get the feeling you're "bothering" them, which contrasts sharply with the generous portions. 📋 Conclusion Overall rating: 4/5 Donatella is an excellent restaurant for the taste buds. The food is divine, and the value for money is very reasonable for the city. If you're willing to overlook the somewhat austere and rigid service, you'll have a wonderful gastronomic experience. Tip: Go for the food; it's well worth the trip, but don't expect any great displays of friendliness from the waitstaff.

05/08/2026: I wanted to eat a McDonald's sandwich, but someone in a really bad mood wouldn't give it to us. McDonald's closes at 3 a.m., so it's normal to get my sandwich at 2 a.m.

04/08/2026: We have been customers of this restaurant for a long time and, until now, we had very little to complain about. However, we were very disappointed by what happened in the last few days. Last week, we ordered takeout meals. When we got home, we noticed that two Spider-Man figurines were missing from the large meals. The next day, I went back to the restaurant to report it and was told I had to call, which I found unfair. Yesterday, the same problem happened to my son. I tried calling immediately, but no one answered. This morning, I called again and explained the situation; the person on the phone assured me that there was no problem and that the figurines would be set aside. So I went to pick them up today around 6 p.m., and was finally told that they didn't have my name and that "a lot of people were doing the same thing." I found this remark very inappropriate, as if our honesty was being questioned. This is the first time we've encountered this situation. We paid for these meals, and the figurines were included in the offer. I would simply like the manager to take the time to explain the situation and to give us back the figurines that were paid for with the meals. It's a shame, because this kind of problem gives a bad impression of an establishment we had previously been satisfied with.

31/07/2026: A breakfast is €7.10 and a set menu is €3.10, but an orange juice will cost you €4. Be careful with the set menus. During service, they forgot one of our set menus, and when it came time to pay, they told me they'd sort it out with a big smile. I just paid the regular price. Two stars for the nice setting.
