23/02/2026: Family lunch on a Sunday. Beautiful setting, very clean premises, impeccable service, delicious and refined dishes. There are few quality restaurants in Saumur. Don't miss this one, I highly recommend it.
22/02/2026: When we entered the restaurant, the waiter said it wasn't dinner time yet. We told him we needed to catch a train and needed to eat as soon as possible.
The chef, knowing this, moved up the dinner start time by an hour to prepare our meal, and we made it to our train just in time.
Although we speak different languages, come from different places, and have many other differences, the restaurant staff treated us very well.
The food was delicious, and the chef even kindly asked us how it was after the meal.

Friendly staff. You can feel the great atmosphere in the kitchen. 😅 I highly recommend it.

But this time, the wait was far too long, the waiter was unhelpful, and the appetizer platter for six was ridiculously overpriced at €11.
The glasses were dirty, but the meat was still of good quality.
In short, I can understand the difficulty in finding professional staff, but they need to take responsibility or change professions, and I'm not one to give negative reviews.
I hope there will be a change of heart.
04/02/2026: Hello...what can I say...people snicker behind customers' backs...you also hear swearing when customers are called by name...but still...asking for your meat to be cooked medium again seems to bother people, especially since you've already specified it and the pic reminds you of it...Curious...

02/02/2026: Passing through Angers for an interview, what a great find! The meat is incredible and not greasy at all, the homemade fries and white sauce are delicious too, the staff is super friendly, and the Berliner is simply amazing. The feta cheese is included throughout the entire sandwich. An incredible experience, my partner and I will definitely be back! 👍
And on top of that, the price is more than reasonable considering the generous portion.

03/09/2025: We've been here several times, and this lunchtime was a real treat. Delicious food made with fresh produce. Homemade, which is becoming rare. We came with friends and enjoyed it as always. For me, the coffee cream was simply sublime. Thank you for the warm and friendly welcome. You love your job, and it shows, keep it up.

15/01/2026: I bought a chicken raclette pizza, but when I went to eat it, the pizza was completely inedible. The dough was raw and crumbling everywhere. I called, and they insisted the dough wasn't raw and offered me a €10 voucher, even though I paid €18. So they gave me a replacement in exchange for the old one, which was fine. I looked at the pizza, and it was just dough, practically nothing on it. It didn't have all the ingredients that were supposed to be in the pizza. Avoid this place at all costs. I don't mean to be a pain, but there are limits.

A refaire
