10/10/2026: As previous reviews have mentioned, it's far too expensive for what it is. The meat, the minced steak, is nothing like it used to be; it's practically vegetarian, really not great... I wouldn't recommend it, even though there was a time, several years ago, when it was good.

04/10/2026: A real find! We appreciated the warm welcome, the atmosphere, and of course the cuisine made with seasonal produce, all at an excellent price. Not to mention that, being gluten intolerant, I was surprised to see (it's quite rare) someone familiar with this type of need.

04/08/2026: First come, last served; our dishes were probably forgotten among the others since they were lukewarm rather than hot. The drinks we ordered with our meal were posted but never brought. Ultimately, we were very disappointed with the experience, especially since the menu seemed promising. The restaurant really needs to hire a waiter with a minimum of organization and experience.

05/10/2026: A restaurant that's okay in a pinch because you need to eat. The quality is declining, both in terms of the variety and quality of the food and the service. We arrived with a baby in a stroller and were immediately seated in the children's section, next to the restrooms and the play area. Naturally, it was very noisy. It got even noisier when they started vacuuming right in front of us (we finished our meal at 2:30 pm). I'm increasingly disappointed with this chain. It's clear they're trying to cut costs.

09/10/2026: The best kebab in Angers, without a doubt. Make a detour, you won't be disappointed. The kebab is more than delicious. The meat is cooked over a wood fire, and its flavor stands out from anything else I've ever tasted. The bread is homemade, baked right in front of you, and served piping hot. If you're lucky, you might even get the chicken spit, which will shake things up in the best way. The toppings aren't the classic salad-tomato-onion combo we all know: here, red cabbage and even grated carrots add a real twist to the experience. The portions are more than generous and well thought out. After a layer of meat, a layer of vegetables is layered before being generously covered with more meat. The slight oiliness around the edges of the preparation enhances the unique flavor of the sandwich, the very essence of a grill house. In addition to the most classic sauces, you can choose the homemade white sauce to enhance your kebab. Light and fresh, with a hint of lemon depending on the preparation, it will delight your taste buds. We haven't even mentioned the fries yet, and they're absolutely perfect… The fries are delicious: crispy and melt-in-your-mouth. For those who prefer them, you'll even find the potato skins still attached to the edges. Besides this extraordinary meal, the service is incredibly warm. The three young men behind it all are welcoming, smiling, and generous. They don't hesitate to apply the student discount, even in the evening, without you even having to ask. Having lived in the city for five years, I think I've tried most of what's available, from the city center to the Doutre district: there's no doubt, this kebab deserves a gold medal. The only downside: if you dare venture there even once, you won't be able to stop. Don't underestimate the allure of the grill house…

06/10/2026: Passing through Angers and staying at the Ace Hotel, I stopped for dinner at La Boucherie upon arrival. I received a very warm welcome, and the setting is pleasant and quiet (perhaps because it was Monday evening). The menu is decent, and the food is excellent. Perhaps the terrace could use a little more lighting. Edit 06/10/26: Returned for lunch with the set lunch menu. Still satisfied.

18/10/2026: We had a wonderful time at L'Auberge Restaurant! A friendly atmosphere and delicious food await, with a seasonal menu and carefully prepared dishes. There's something for everyone.
