24/03/2026: Very disappointed from the start, the food wasn't anything special, I ordered a "café gourmand" (gourmet coffee) and the muffin was still frozen inside, and the service was rushed.

13/04/2026: Le Comptoir du Malt in Liévin truly deserves recognition. About three months ago, after a business lunch, I left my laptop and several files there. The team found them, carefully stored them, and then returned them to me with great professionalism. I sincerely thank Kevin, Tom, Léa, and Raïanne for their integrity, thoroughness, and dedication to service. This kind of attitude speaks volumes about the human qualities of an establishment. Beyond this incident, I have always appreciated the warm welcome, the quality of service, and the atmosphere of the place. A reliable, honest, and professional team. 12/04/2026: My husband and I first ate there over Easter weekend. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The lamb shank with mashed potatoes was excellent. However, we returned on April 11th, and the waiter was unpleasant. We waited an hour and a half between our starter and main course. We complained several times, and the waiter told us it was the school holidays, so the wait was normal, even though the restaurant wasn't packed as he claimed. After the fourth complaint, our dishes were finally brought. My husband had ordered lamb shank with mashed potatoes. He received the lamb, but with leek mash instead of potato. He pointed this out to the waiter, who replied that it was leek or nothing. I find this unacceptable. When it came time to pay, the young man at the till was just as unpleasant as the other. If these young people don't want to work, they should let someone else take their place. Furthermore, our table hadn't been properly cleaned and the knife was missing. Avoid at all costs.

11/04/2026: We visited on Sunday, April 11th, and had a very pleasant time. The meal was excellent, with top-notch cuisine. The freshness of the buffet items was truly perfect; we thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly seasoned dishes. The service was quick, efficient, and very professional. The servers were attentive, and we received excellent service. A very good experience that we highly recommend!
