The staff were pleasant, with a touch of humor that helped us arrive in Honfleur in a good mood after a 7-hour drive. 11/04/2026: Looking for a family-run restaurant opposite Sainte Catherine Church with exceptionally high-quality fish (salmon, fish kebabs, etc.) and seafood platters, homemade mayonnaise, crème brûlée, homemade tarts, and more, all at very reasonable prices? Then go for it without hesitation! Sitting on the terrace overlooking Place Sainte Catherine is a real bonus, as it's only accessible to pedestrians.

On a quiet day, I was able to peacefully enjoy the terrace with its unobstructed view of the harbor, which was lovely for savoring a platter at a reasonable price compared to those on the quayside. The quality of the food wasn't exactly top-notch; it felt a bit mass-produced, but it was still quite enjoyable, especially the tapenade, which had a nice flavor. I'll most likely return to enjoy the setting again.

15/04/2026: A very pleasant surprise! Quietly located on Rue de l'Homme de Bois, this eponymous restaurant is pleasantly removed from the "noisy" tourist crowds. A warm and friendly welcome, a small terrace to enjoy the good weather, and a cozy, wood-paneled dining room to suit your mood. Highly recommended!

14/04/2026: Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't live up to our expectations. We looked at the place, which was nice and had decent reviews, so we decided to make a reservation for a seafood dinner. We sat down at a round table, in a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The staff immediately handed us menus and took our orders: we chose the appetizer + main course + dessert option. I chose the fish soup, the fish of the day, and the Île flottante, which reminded me of my grandmother. The soup arrived quickly; it wasn't exceptional, but more than adequate: fragrant, served with the classic croutons and cheese. Then? Nothing: a good hour and a half had passed and the main course hadn't arrived... we waited about ten minutes and asked: we were told it was on its way, and in fact, after another ten minutes, it did. The fish of the day is a portion of rice, completely overcooked and with thinly sliced ​​broad beans, on top of which lie three fish fillets, supposedly sea bream, but they're also overcooked and flavorless. To top it all off, a sauce reminiscent of roast meat. In short, an unsightly combo, not up to par with any cuisine worthy of the name. And it's been over two hours since we ordered! What can I say about the dessert? An egg broth (the consistency is correct) that seems watered down, dominated by a cube of beaten egg white with an unnatural consistency, as if they'd used a thickener, and a vanilla flavor. Oh, I forgot, the 1-liter bottle of "do-it-yourself" mineral water costs €6.50! Conclusion: you spend around €45 per person for poor-quality food, cooked in a completely questionable manner, with decidedly slow service.
