23/04/2026: We came for lunch today. It was a wonderful experience. The welcome was perfect, the service impeccable, and every dish excellent, every single one was superb. Thank you again for letting us enjoy the 7-course menu; it was incredible and very refined. Currently rated 1 star, but in our opinion, it deserves more like 1 or 2! I highly recommend your restaurant!

30/03/2026: Very high quality burger and you can tell the meat was fresh, my only criticisms is that the burger was too big to bite so it was hard to get all the flavor, it also started falling apart at a certain time and lacked sauce to add the wow burger factor. Overall burger was hard to eat but the staff was very kind and I appreciated that
28/03/2026: Fantastic welcome, lots of enthusiasm and friendliness. Excellent customer service.
No complaints about the burgers and fries, both were superb. The burgers were generously topped and not dry at all. The homemade fries were absolutely delicious.
A place we'll definitely remember and return to.

We had a wonderful meal. The service was very pleasant and attentive.
Our bill came to €35 per person (thanks to the set evening menu) which included drinks, a starter, a main course, and a shared dessert. And it was truly delicious.
Thank you so much for the quality of your food and service.

I had the Thai crab pie—I've never had anything like it! Super, super good! The man was also super friendly and kind, and all I want is to come home with this little souvenir! But psssst! An address to share only among very good friends!

09/04/2026: I wanted to try the traditional Charente chowder, but it was a complete disaster. It was nothing like the delicious original dish I'd imagined; it tasted awful. The otherwise charming waiter told me, "But the cook has been making it for 35 years!" Really? Well, he should take a good look at himself! It's a disgrace, and they didn't even bother to help, which is typical. And it was expensive too!
I advise you to avoid this place! It's utterly disappointing!

20/04/2026: Passing through the area last night, I received a very warm welcome—smiling and friendly. I enjoyed a delicious meal with a view of the port. The food was simple but good. Blankets are available if you're feeling chilly. I would definitely return on my next visit.

22/04/2024: Sans restaurant désormais le nouvel hôtel Le Français a changé de tout. Confort, service (Sandrine, Joy), chambres, etc...une expérience sympathique et réussie.
On recommande particulièrement la grande chambre 32 à ,l'étage avec trois fenêtres sur le port et ses équipements neufs.
petit déjeuner en supplément un peu cher mais bien aussi.
