23/04/2026: We came for lunch today. It was a wonderful experience. The welcome was perfect, the service impeccable, and every dish excellent, every single one was superb. Thank you again for letting us enjoy the 7-course menu; it was incredible and very refined. Currently rated 1 star, but in our opinion, it deserves more like 1 or 2! I highly recommend your restaurant!

27/05/2026: On the port of La Flotte en Ré, a warm welcome and friendly service await you. The scallop menu was delicious (the scallops were cooked to perfection) and the dessert was superb! A must-visit on the island!

14/06/2026: Excellent discovery, definitely a return visit 👍. Top-notch quality and flavor of the dishes, pleasant and friendly welcome and service 👌. A big congratulations and another 5th star to the chef and the front-of-house staff! The team is extremely small for a menu offering such choice, quality, and service at very reasonable prices.

The restaurant next door was a bit noisy; they were celebrating a birthday.
Menu: Pork rib with barbecue sauce and new potatoes
Dessert: Speculoos tiramisu for 25 euros.

11/06/2026: We dined at your establishment on June 28, 2024. Our receipt was for €227.70, but you made a data entry error on the card terminal, registering a payment of €277.70, a difference of €50. Since then, we have been requesting a refund or credit note for the difference by email and phone to correct our accounting, but you are ignoring us. This is dishonest, especially between local businesses. It's up to you now!

Perfect.
05/05/2026: A perfectly successful family lunch on the terrace. The main course (sea bream) and dessert (rhubarb crumble) were excellent and generous. Friendly and efficient service. We'll definitely be back!

24/05/2026: We ate here. The restaurant is well located, however, there were more empty mussels than actual food. Furthermore, the waitresses weren't very professional: one addressed us informally as if we were old friends, and another sneezed on us while we were eating, without covering her mouth.
On the other hand, one of the waiters gave us excellent wine recommendations, and the wine was superb.

22/04/2024: Sans restaurant désormais le nouvel hôtel Le Français a changé de tout. Confort, service (Sandrine, Joy), chambres, etc...une expérience sympathique et réussie.
On recommande particulièrement la grande chambre 32 à ,l'étage avec trois fenêtres sur le port et ses équipements neufs.
petit déjeuner en supplément un peu cher mais bien aussi.

10/09/2024: Saw 2 baguette sandwiches we fancied & started by asking deux baguette fermiers s'il vous plaît in my best French only to be barked at & told in French they weren't called baguettes they were called sandwich fermier which made me feel about 2 foot tall. I then started to ask for a coffee éclair & she got a bag out to put it in but I then said I'd like another cake. She sighed & dramatically threw a box on the counter & the bag away. My face by this time was bright red I felt so embarrassed. She then completely ignored me for my request of a 3rd cake & asked the person behind in the Q what they'd like, passing my cakes & "sandwich" to her colleague at the cash desk. Worse still 3 hours later when we went to eat our sandwich they were "italien" & not "fermier" so she'd given me the wrong ones. Awful service & not a very nice woman
