Les meilleurs restaurants en Cognac

19/08/2024: One Sunday lunchtime in August, we stopped at Le Coq d'Or which is well rated on Google. We are with our 2 daughters on the terrace who behave well. The food is ok nothing more. I take my daughters to the bathroom and in the meantime, the waiter offers my husband a coffee and says "you must need it with all these girls". I find it sexist and unwelcome, especially since the children behaved very well at the table.

20/03/2024: You never know when it's open or not. Before going there, I check the opening hours, modified 2 weeks ago by the owner, I tell myself that it's good... 1 hour after the announced opening time it's still closed, the staff does the housework

09/09/2024: Very small claustrophobic room, no window just a glass entry door. Air con. was OK and essential without fresh air ventilation. Reasonable location, with a 10 minute walk to the town centre.

12/05/2024: Hello, we came for one night, frankly it's great, very warm welcome, with all the explanations for entering the parking lot late in the evening, our room for 5 people, was very clean, very comfortable beds, quiet hotel, not Noise at night, breakfast and a large buffet with lots of choice, nothing to complain about. We will come back without hesitation if we come back to cognac. The prices are affordable and the staff pleasant. thank you

21/09/2024: from the brewery it's all..... I just stopped by for a coffee. I wanted to sit at a table in the shade. The waiter asked me to sit at another table arguing that mine was for 4. I told him that I was going to split it to make 2 tables of 2...he told me no and that as I wasn't friendly it wouldn't help. I told him that refusal to sell was forbidden...he told me to go to hell...it got out of hand and I followed him to his counter where a bearded man pretending to be the boss m 'threatened in covert words....Outraged at the kindness of the waiter Jason, he was not even able to smile or simply respond politely so I was threatened in a bar where I have been going for 15 years !!! Indeed, I called him an idiot following his refusal to serve me and his thinking telling me to fuck off and I think he didn't deserve better. And I left following your threatening physical posture, promising to come back...have a coffee!!! Here, in Cognac, we are not in Toulon and among well-bred people, all this should not have happened...Unfortunately, in the brewery and many customer testimonials, I am not the only one, a majority of Testimonials on the platforms say it, your servers, in particular this one, pose a problem to customers. I understand that it is difficult in your professions, today, to find qualified and professional personnel but from there to taking this kind of people, more and more people are questioning...Jason comes back in more than half dissatisfied testimonies!!!!

09/09/2024: Lunch time Kitchen closed quite early so we missed out on the food, Neighbouring establishments however seemed to keep serving for longer, finished our drinks purchased a takeaway from the boulangerie and went for a picnic!

15/08/2024: A very friendly brasserie, the staff is just great and the theme evenings at the end of the week are ideal for unwinding. I highly recommend this establishment.

16/08/2024: Cadre : au coeur de Cognac. Bel intérieur. Service : parfait. Personnel très sympathique. La carte : suffisante Les plats : les produits sont de bonne qualité. Je suis moins fan de l’assemblage des saveurs. Toutefois, je mets 5 étoiles car il s’agit uniquement de mes goûts culinaires et il faut reconnaître que la présentation des plats est belle. De plus, le goût et la cuisson de chaque ingrédients sont parfaits. Les prix : dans la moyenne. Je recommande ce restaurant car c’est un établissement professionnel et convivial.

13/08/2024: Très bon service, aux petits soins. Belle terrasse. Une carte courte qui garantit la fraîcheur. Un gravlax de saumon un peu trop pimenté. Une CB inopérante, donc sdu cash à retirer. Donc, en résumé, beaucoup de positif et un peu de négatif. A refaire !

04/09/2024: I came across the wrong day. I'm disappointed. Lack of staff, lack of organization, lack of products. Do not come on a public holiday. Missed birthday. 2h30 for just 1 dish. Coffee for 5.5€ without even a chocolate or biscuit. This clearly shocked me.

16/08/2024: Superb evening on the terrace at the Distillerie, restaurant at the Hôtel du Chais Monnet. Exceptional setting on the terrace or in the room. Good cooking, hearty dishes and very good desserts including a Cognac Baba! Staff present and very attentive. Without a false note for a very fair price given the setting and the quality of the products.

09/04/2024: As usual, a cool, friendly atmosphere and simple, delicious cuisine, the boss is very nice and the waitress and cook are great. I recommend the peppers with goat cheese, a delight. I will come back
