28/06/2026: Great bar! Cédric is a fantastic guy who knows how to keep us entertained and make us laugh. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. It's top-notch!

06/03/2026: Cédric is disrespectful and a liar. He introduced himself in writing as a "business owner," then sent me a photo that must be at least 10 years old and asked for my rates for escort services in Bordeaux. Being classier and more expensive than the women he usually meets, he didn't even say "thank you" and disappeared without a polite goodbye. Pathetic!

14/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening in a beautiful setting. The meal lived up to our expectations, with exquisite dishes served with great elegance. The waiters were very professional and attentive to our satisfaction.

09/07/2026: Overall, we were satisfied with our visit to the distillery. The food was good, however, the service was a bit slow (40 minutes for our cocktails; 1 hour 30 minutes for our main courses).

18/10/2025: Everything is homemade. The owner is genuine and welcoming. The three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) offers excellent value for money. A great place to eat when passing through Cognac.

02/07/2026: A visit to Cognac Blues Passion. Impeccable set menu with unbeatable value for money at €17.90 including coffee. Tomato and burrata tartare, flambéed prawns, semolina, zucchini and peas, mango dessert. Well-prepared, well-served, and lovely waiters.

01/07/2026: Meh, I was craving a croque monsieur, but I got bread and Gruyère cheese. The salad wasn't dressed, and the ham had been opened the day before yesterday. In short, very disappointed.

12/06/2026: The food was truly excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the waiter's behavior completely ruined the experience. Throughout the order, he kept asking me to repeat what I wanted, as if he wasn't listening or paying attention. This gave an impression of disorganization and a lack of professionalism. The worst part came when it was time to pay. I paid with a large bill, which seemed to greatly upset the waiter. Since he didn't have enough change, he immediately adopted an unpleasant and arrogant attitude, as if the problem lay with the customer. Instead of handling the situation calmly and professionally, he clearly showed his displeasure at having to search for change. The scene became even more surprising when he finally gave up looking for change and started looking at his phone, while his colleague struggled to find the necessary change. This lack of involvement and respect for the customer is difficult to understand in a public establishment. Finally, as I was leaving the restaurant, he didn't even bother to say goodbye or thank me for my visit. A simple gesture of politeness would have sufficed. It's a real shame, because the quality of the food deserves far better than this cold, casual, and unprofessional service.

20/05/2026: Incredible quick street food. Ordered the 2 taco (2 different meats) with chips for only €11 and it is so worth the money, huge portions and lovely food, lovely owners also, couldn’t recommend this place more.

01/05/2026: We first went to Duguesclin about fifteen years ago; it was a good restaurant, good value for money. About six or seven years ago, we were very disappointed. The quality had dropped significantly: the salmon pasta was far too salty and inedible, and the pasta had a watery tomato sauce that was incredibly bland. That convinced us never to go back. Recently, we decided to give the restaurant another chance, perhaps out of a touch of nostalgia... We received a poor welcome; a smile seemed to be optional, just a curt "I'll be right back." We had time to watch this person walk past us three times without even acknowledging us. We ended up leaving to eat elsewhere. It's such a shame what this restaurant has become.

14/05/2026: Passing through Cognac, we stopped to order two pizzas 🍕. We weren't disappointed; they were good. Friendly service.

20/04/2026: I'm a regular customer and have never had any bad experiences. The pizzas are generous and delicious, and the staff are very welcoming. I highly recommend it!

28/06/2026: If you're looking for an excellent cocktail bar, this is THE place to go. Top-notch cocktails made with high-quality ingredients. A truly inviting atmosphere. Friendly and attentive bartenders. A minor drawback is the exterior; there could be a bit more tapas to accompany the drinks. We loved it!

14/05/2026: We went in for a cocktail on a rainy early evening on a public holiday. The bar was empty, so the bar man served us quickly. He explained the additional menu that could be found with a QR code. We had 4 cocktails and a wine. The cocktail of the day was terrible, mixed with fizzy water and loads of ice - it may have been better without all the water and ice. The sidecar tasted watery, maybe just not as much cognac used as the version that we are used to. All served with a small bowl of nuts for the table. We were expecting something special because of the reviews, but were disappointed.

22/06/2026: Here, the staff, including the owner, feel entitled to loudly criticize the women who walk by, mocking their outfits while watching them from behind the closed door. Either they think the women are underdressed (and we're in the middle of a heatwave!), or their clothing isn't to their liking—too this, too that, and so on. And then, "Don't complain if they get mugged!" The door is closed because of the air conditioning, a leaky, wheeled unit. I pick up my bag as I leave; it's soaked, as are my canvas shoes. When I point this out, the owner retorts, "You didn't drown!" The waiter chimes in. I shudder to think what was said after I left! In short, I'll never set foot in that bar again.

07/04/2026: This establishment deserves a much better rating than its current one! The service is quick yet attentive, the food is good quality for an extremely reasonable price, its location isn't used as an excuse for price increases (as some nearby establishments do...), and for those with a sweet tooth, the fries are homemade and absolutely delicious. For two drinks, a fresh steak with fries (children's menu), and a nice cut of meat with fries and salad, the bill came to €33. I sincerely recommend this establishment!

01/07/2026: I've been shopping at this store for years. I've never been disappointed. But my experience on Saturday was very disappointing... we went to the fish counter to buy mussels. The woman saw us waiting but didn't come to serve us, didn't even say hello. So we waited patiently for her to decide to serve us. She took her time. Then, when she finally served us, she seemed grumpy, unpleasant, and very, very slow. Anyway, we didn't say anything... we ate the mussels that evening and all night, and the next day I was sick. Which doesn't surprise me. In fact, that Saturday, the fish counter was swarming with flies. My partner and I even saw a whole salmon, with three flies on its head, that had laid eggs. It was disgusting 🤮 and if we saw it, don't tell me the fishmonger didn't see it.... I won't be buying seafood from this store again...

30/06/2026: Large supermarket where we did our shopping and had lunch at the L'Entracte cafeteria, very good, reasonable prices.

14/06/2026: We chose it for the outside space for freedom for kids, regrettably the whole experience was undermined by the order not being taken for an hour. The grumpy owner took our order at the counter with bad grace. Perhaps the place is more drink oriented?

11/06/2026: This restaurant is located in front of a pretty square, but the food is shameful. I couldn't eat what was served; it was inedible. I'll never go back.

05/04/2026: Very good, inexpensive kebab with welcoming staff. Just a minor issue with the atmosphere; it could use a bit more decoration or background music.

17/05/2026: One star because I can't give zero. We arrived 15 minutes before closing time (the terrace was packed with people, and our beers were still full). Our friends were already seated and still had full beers. I politely told them we wouldn't be more than 15 minutes to finish ours, and also so we wouldn't be without a drink while our friends finished theirs. It was no use; they said no, the bar was closed and they weren't serving any more beer.

13/05/2026: The glass and spoon of the requested Perrier with a slice of lemon were dirty!! Will not be repeated.
