07/05/2024: There is a terrace in Besançon where I have enjoyed for many years, strolling, taking my break (or my professional appointments), taking my time, meditating, and of course having lunch... that of the Granvelle brasserie.
The welcome has always been friendly, the service careful and very fast, and the servers attentive, caring and loyal.
We feel like a fulfilled team, who loves their work and their customers.
The dish of the day is exceptional value for money. And the varied menu will delight all gourmets.
All in the wonderful setting of the Granvelle promenade where Victor Hugo reminds us that our city is also that of great men.

07/05/2024: Beautiful brasserie with a large terrace.
Wide opening hours.
Coming without reservation on a Sunday lunchtime, we were offered to have an aperitif on the terrace while waiting for a table to become available. We were seated at the table only twenty minutes later.
Efficient and professional service, little waiting despite the crowds.
Tasty cuisine, fresh and quality ingredients; some Franche-Comté specialties.
Very good value for money.
Parking (paid) nearby.

01/04/2024: It took me a while to post a comment. But other feedback other than mine means that ultimately it wasn't just the evening I came. Apart from the welcome when we arrived, it was total decadence. Order taking ok but mix up in orders. Board ordered 1/2 waiting to learn that it had not been launched. So the aperitif (3 out of 3 was not good at first) is drunk. Order finally made for the board, our dishes arrive. Back to the kitchen because the board is also arriving. Surprise it's not the right format but we will still share in smaller quantities. It's been 1 hour since we arrived. 30 minutes later our dishes arrive. Not the right accompaniments or the right sauces. But given the time and with children it doesn't matter, we take it. The desserts arrive. Rebelotte nothing was going well. The waitresses blame each other. A leak in the kitchen was also the reason for everything getting messy. Assessment arrived at 8 p.m., distributed 11 p.m. and without even a commercial gesture for all the inconveniences accumulated. I'm not saying we want to be kings and I'm understandable when a restaurant is armored. But there we were about ten people for two waitresses.

After this joke that the boss will understand, here is my objective opinion after a meal with friends last night.
I had an excellent time in this restaurant where the emphasis is on beef, as you will have understood from the name of the place 😂.
But we come here as much for the cuisine as for the good-natured and “at home” atmosphere. Obviously, we ate very, very well, the service was provided to perfection by the very professional and at the same time very friendly waitress.
Price-wise, it's a good average, even more so if we take into account the quality of the products served. My burger was excellent and my friend who accompanied him left nothing of his lamb shank (yes, the guy comes to a beef restaurant to eat lamb 😂).
And special mention to Élisa who is very sympathetic. It smacks of authenticity and frankness. I promised you a comment, promise kept.
See you soon, after this pleasant discovery.
The only downside, which is not linked to the restaurant but its location, is the lack of parking nearby... But by looking for or accepting a bit of walking, it can be done without problems!

We went through the school to see a dance performance.
It was great, the children enjoyed it and laughed.

I particularly like the bath side, otherwise the terrace in summer, whatever the side, even if the river side adds even more charm.
The food is very good, the staff is friendly. I recommend.
