18/05/2024: “Le Palais gourmand” The name alone evokes all the generosity and flavors of this restaurant. A pure treat! The pancakes are delicious and the “L’Abeille” ice cream sundae with its good dose of honey is exquisite. The boss and the waiter are very attentive and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable given the quality of the service and the dishes offered. Located in a small alley, a stone's throw from the Cathedral, it is a restaurant that I recommend 1000%. As soon as we return to Laon, we will come back without hesitation.

22/04/2024: Very good discovery of this family restaurant run by professional managers and a manager who shows great sympathy and welcomes people perfectly. The food is very good with a very profitable quality/price ratio (it's a shame, however, that the coke is in a can given the price and not a small glass bottle). The service is quite fast, the wait was not too long. I can only highly recommend this restaurant!

05/05/2024: With our 730pm reservation on a Saturday in May, we had a very enjoyable dinner at this very nice locally popular fine dining French restaurant in Septmonts near Soissons in France. The Auberge de la Louviere was very accommodating for our party of four with two small and very well behaved dogs by seating us at a large table normally setup for 8 so we could keep the dogs under our table with plenty of room. Upon arrival, we were the only table occupied but within an hour, every table was taken in a very clean and comfortable restaurant with a very nice ambiance. Overall, the food and service were very good, and the higher prices (40+ Euros/person) for menu items is what one expects at a popular fine dining French restaurant such as the Auberge de la Louviere. Here are few highlights of the menu items we enjoyed: Amuse Buche - Escargot in a carrot sauce were tender and tasty Le foie gras de canard... was very tasty and well prepared with the small strawberry compote and Sichuan pepper Les asperges chaudes... were also very tasty and well prepared served hot on the plate Le gravlax de saumon... was delicious Le ceviche de thon rouge... was quite tasty and one of the best civiches we've tasted Filet de boeuf, sauce poivre was tender, tasty, and perfectly cooked med rare “a point” as requested with a delicious pepper sauce Le rognon de veau...were also very well prepared, served hot and quite tasty La rhubarbe confite, madeleine et cremeux pistache was a very nice way to end our fine dining experience at Auberge de la Louviere. We've visited this restaurant a few years ago and we'll likely return again to see what new and inspiring items have been added to the menu. If you are looking for an excellent fine dining experience near Soissons, this popular restaurant is the place to come.

21/05/2024: Rather pleasant room with few tables so not very noisy. The service is fast and the staff are welcoming. Even if the choice of dishes is a little more limited than elsewhere, everyone was able to order what they wanted (according to their diet). The dishes were good and well presented but a little disappointment for the cheese plate and desserts. Despite everything, we had a good evening (at 275 euros for 5 with 4 glasses of wine)

19/03/2024: We tried this Picard restaurant, as we did not know your restaurants own server, pleasant. Very very good meat cooked over a wood fire to discover value for money.

16/03/2024: We hadn't been here for a long time. When we arrived, the room was quiet and obviously there was room. I asked for a table for two, it is 12:30 p.m. and the receptionist tells me that there are two seminars and therefore cannot accommodate us. Despite all the empty tables, I left without incident but I won't be returning again.

28/02/2024: No place says more "welcome" than this restaurant. Here you can still find authentic friendliness and real, authentic food at honest prices. We had entrecôte and that tasted like the best I had in years! It tasted so good! The next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll pass by for sure....No, beter: I'll make a detour to come and eat here again. Congratulations to the team and the chef!
