20/06/2025: The lunch menus are unbeatable in terms of value for money; for example, three courses plus coffee and a carafe of water cost €20 (weekday lunchtime). Everything was delicious. The fish was excellent, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The children's plate (nuggets with fries, all freshly made) was available for €11.

17/01/2026: I came in July for my birthday. The owner clearly favors the inn's regular customers. Regulars too. If you're just passing through, don't expect to be served quickly. I think the staff is being held back by the owner because, judging by the atmosphere, it's clear they're being managed in such a way that new customers aren't treated properly. This restaurant was recommended to me, and I was very disappointed. I won't be going back.
Edit: I never questioned the servers' work, but rather the management's. And if you're so indifferent to my opinion, you wouldn't have bothered to reply. You should know that I have a personal life outside of the internet, and I don't spend all my time online. I waited to post a review, so what? I observed and stated the facts. If you don't like it, too bad.
13/01/2026: Huge disappointment because I only got a tiny piece of meat and very few fries... and my feet were freezing cold... Yet I'm usually served incredibly well... I don't understand?

A very long wait.
The tarte flambée was half raw, the vol-au-vents had almost no meat, and when there was any, it was mostly fat—thankfully you used fresh mushrooms! The Côtes du Rhône by the pitcher was really not good.

30/12/2025: While passing through the region, we had trouble finding a reasonably priced hotel near Strasbourg (Christmas period).
I chose this one, but I must admit I was very disappointed after paying €240 (in advance) for two nights (without breakfast).
I should mention that the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel seems old and, in our opinion, desperately needs a renovation.
We arrived at 5 or 6 PM, and the reception desk was closed with a shutter, and the room keys were left on it… Anyone could have entered our room… I was very surprised by this system. The room itself was small but adequate, and the bed was very small but sufficient. The floral bedspread looked dated, as did the mismatched velvet cushions. Hygiene-wise, non-washable velvet cushions have no place on a bed where different people sleep each night… this bothered me greatly… the pillows were thin and uncomfortable. The rooms have no soundproofing: we could hear the dog barking at the other end of the hotel, the construction work, and even the people using the bathroom in the next room… (🫨). The heating is inadequate and it gets cold quickly, especially in December.
For breakfast, we paid €50 for two people for two mornings (€11.50 x 4 + tax). There was little choice, and few, if any, savory options, so we made do with what was on offer.
In short, considering the prices, I think the hotel should be modernized and renovated (while still retaining its typical Alsatian charm).

28/08/2024: Au retour d’une escapade en Allemagne, nous recherchons une table pouvant nous accueillir à 7 personnes pour l’anniversaire de Madame…
J’appelle cet établissement, et sans aucune hésitation, accepte notre arrivée tardive, à savoir pas loin de 13h30.
Un repas sans chichi mais une dégustation au top!
Du fait maison pour la plupart des mets consommés ce jour là et une prise en compte des besoins de chacun (pas de salade, pas de sucre, une autre sauce pour le plat…).
Un concept familial qui permet d’éviter les chichis et qui laissera chacun picorer dans le plat de frites déposer au centre de la table.
Surprise pour Madame, la fontaine et la chanson d’anniversaire au moment du dessert…
Encore merci à vous pour cette prise en compte ainsi que votre accueil.
Nous recommandons sans aucune retenue ce restaurant.

07/05/2024: Fidèle à ce glacier première fois déçue , glace à la cannelle qui a bien changé tout juste le goût ... nouvelle recette? nouvel ingrédient ? Dommage du coup j'hésite aussi pour le reste !
