05/05/2026: Good intentions don't always translate into good execution. I could write a long paragraph about this, starting with the language barrier, then the "advanced tour" with 30 seconds of canter and zero trot, which didn't even last two hours instead of the booked three and a half, and finally the fact that we didn't even get the right address because the one in the email, as well as the one online, was wrong. But to put it simply: for locals, it's probably a great experience, but for tourists or anyone who doesn't speak French, it's not. Friendly people and beautiful grounds, but that's about it. All in all, very disappointing and not worth the money.

02/10/2026: Nice restaurant in the Center of Saintes Maries de la Mer. We went there for dinner during our stay in the area. The food was excellent (main and dessert), very fresh and tasty. The menu is small and is explained to guests. Service was also very good, friendly staff. Also very nice to sit and good atmosphere. We would definitely visit again when in the area. Reservation recommended, it was crowded even it was late in the season.

13/10/2026: We bake our own pizzas in a wood-fired oven, and this one was just as good. Very friendly and attentive service, and a cozy Mediterranean atmosphere.

12/10/2026: The clam panna cotta is overpriced for pasta and clams, a large portion of which are empty shells, and which are not even present in the parsley sauce!

30/07/2026: We didn't like the beef. It was very tough and rubbery to chew. The beef dishes are not recommended. It's also a shame that they serve canned drinks.

10/06/2026: From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the place. We were welcomed by Guillaume, the owner's son, who was completely dedicated to our various requests. After settling into our spotless and spacious room with a large bed and a very comfortable mattress, he invited us to enjoy a homemade aperitif, featuring a tasting of several local products, including bull chorizo ​​and exceptional Camargue oysters. Next, we savored sangre, cooked to perfection over the wood fire in the enormous fireplace, and delicious cheeses, finishing with a caramel flan made with eggs from the estate. A pure delight. After a stroll through the magnificent grounds, we spent a peaceful night. In short, I wholeheartedly recommend this most pleasant and authentic place. Nestled within the ancient castle walls, the property offers a truly unique atmosphere: you feel as if you've stepped back in time, immersed in history, charm, and tranquility. The rooms are immaculate, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. You immediately feel at home, enveloped by the stone, the silence, and a breathtaking view. The food was simply perfect: delicious dishes prepared with local ingredients, served with meticulous care and genuine hospitality. Every bite was a delight, every detail carefully considered to make the experience memorable. A huge thank you to Ulrike and her son, who run this place with authentic passion and rare kindness. Their warm welcome, their helpfulness, and their love for this property made the stay even more special. You can tell they put their heart and soul into every action, and that makes all the difference. In short, a splendid, authentic, and refined stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, immersive, and charming experience. A true gem in the heart of Provence.

25/08/2026: We went to La Siesta to end the week with a couple of friends and had a great evening with a band called What Else who created an amazing atmosphere!!! The waiters were smiling and looked fantastic with their suspenders, in short, a great place to have a good time.

20/10/2026: Problem Bull stew???? No, it's not a stew...but it's not a Gardiane either. It wasn't prepared with Corsican red wine. No orange peel. No black olives. It was all mixed with mashed potatoes. (It looks like a children's dish without the taste of Gardiane.) As for the oysters...Vinegar pearls systematically in each oyster...and a lemon in the middle...it's one or the other, but you don't mix vinegar pearls and lemon. The crème brûlée was good. But it's a shame they weren't served warm. I cook a lot...but this is the first time I've eaten this "Gardiane" in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Very disappointing.

06/09/2026: We had a lovely night in a very pretty setting. The welcome was very warm and the staff were very pleasant. However, the walls are a bit thin. And I found the price a little high.
