01/03/2026: The food is in keeping with the theme, a well-prepared French brasserie. The eggs mayonnaise were excellent, the fries were great, and the hanger steak was very tender. The service was very good, the waiter was very pleasant. The location is also nice. Very satisfied with this place. I recommend it.

26/05/2026: The rooms were filthy and dirty. They hadn't been cleaned. Only the linens had been changed, thankfully. There was a smell of wet dog in the room. The mirrors and windows were dirty, there were unidentifiable stains on the carpet, hair in the shower, and unidentifiable water stains on the walls and floor of the toilet. The toilet cistern cover and toilet brush holder were broken, and all surfaces were sticky and uncleaned. The street was quite noisy, but it was either that or suffocate from the awful smell. I almost forgot the thought that came to me when I saw that the fitted sheet was inside out… was that intentional or a mistake? (No answer expected) The atmosphere was reminiscent of The Shining. We were offered breakfast, coffee/tea, or juice as an apology, but it was absolutely unappealing given the state of the room and everything else. Even though the price wasn't exorbitant per person, it's a far cry from the concept of a hotel where you want to feel at home, or even better, but certainly not worse. Awful. The staff feigned surprise at our experience during check-out, but at this point, they need acting lessons to make us believe it even a little. We didn't see any other guests in the hotel, so a more decent room would have been welcome.

19/05/2026: As a photographer, I now hold my meetings with future brides and grooms there because the welcome is so warm and the setting so cozy. Well done!

28/10/2025: A great place to stay in the heart of Lisieux. The family room is spacious and quiet. We loved the breakfast, especially the homemade madeleines. The jams are also excellent!

27/10/2025: We stayed at this hotel for one night. After having problems with our first room due to the noise from the kitchen ventilation system, we were moved to another room. The rooms are fine, but nothing extraordinary. The toilet seat was broken, the pipes seemed half-clogged, and when we came in, a damp smell hit our noses. Apart from that: clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was okay. Good for a stopover hotel.

02/06/2026: Great! The staff is fantastic. However, for the past few months, the tobacco section has been completely empty if you want a pack of cigarettes. So I don't know if it's going to close. I can go at any time of the month, whether it's the beginning, middle, or end, whether it's morning, afternoon, or late afternoon, and the tobacco section is always empty.

14/07/2026: I received a very warm welcome upon arrival. The team is friendly, attentive, and highly professional. I particularly appreciated the explanations given throughout the service, both for the color and the cut. The advice was clear, and the result met my expectations. A big thank you to Ophélie. The only thing I think could be improved is the salon's decor. It looks dated and lacks modernity. This is a shame because, for a salon located in a high-traffic area, the exterior and interior ambiance don't necessarily entice people to come in. A refresh of the decor would better highlight the quality of the work and the team's professionalism.

11/07/2026: The customer service at Espace Jardinerie is appalling: garden furniture purchased in mid-April was delivered damaged. I must have made 20 calls, each time with the promise of a replacement delivery, which I'm still waiting for.

18/07/2026: Very welcoming. The homemade food is of good quality. I recommend this place.

24/06/2026: A stop at this friendly café-brasserie. The buffet menu is €17.50 and has everything you could want. The dishes, prepared by the caterer who owns the place, are truly excellent. Chicken Pays d'Auge, shepherd's pie, ratatouille, gratin dauphinois—everything was cooked just like at home. The young man's welcome was unpretentious, but with class, discretion, and kindness. Don't arrive too late, as there can be groups. For me, it was a quiet Wednesday 🙏🏻.

23/12/2025: If I could give zero stars, this would be it. A restaurant I've frequented for a long time, and which until now has been impeccable… but my last experience was extremely disappointing! I had booked a meal for 20 people for an event two months in advance with the waiter. (Invitations ordered and sent) The owner met with me to discuss the reservation… not a very warm welcome… a very arrogant person… however, I went ahead with it… Two weeks ago, like many others, I learned that the restaurant was closing its doors but continuing to offer service for professional and private events. (My event wasn't affected per se.) However, I sent an email asking if my reservation was still valid and if the conditions remained the same… no response… I went to the restaurant, the waiter passed the message on to the owner, who asked me… I'm still waiting for a call back… So I booked my event elsewhere! The day before yesterday, a caterer called me back saying they were taking over the reservations… I had the pleasure of telling him I wasn't going to proceed and wished him the best of luck working with an establishment like that! An arrogant boss who manages his reservations terribly, doesn't bother to call his clients back, and I think he doesn't care about losing a table of 20 people… he probably doesn't care about that… In any case, he's off to a great start with his new venture! Avoid at all costs, because they've lost a lot of customers! No wonder the employees are coming and going like they do every day of the week…

14/11/2025: Jeremy is very pleasant to serve us and very nice. The food is amazing, we come from Indonesia and having this local food fantastic: Cod Fish (, Beef Soup and Chicken with local material so good. We recommended to all of you, the local food hunter 😍 Lisieux so amazing and the restaurant must try

29/06/2026: Slow, slow, slow. €14 for a saucy burrata and one pathetic slice of dry-cured ham... very, very dry, and the salad was overly vinegary, inedible. We pointed it out, but apparently they didn't care. Tourist trap.

13/06/2026: What a joke!! Might as well eat at the Leclerc cafeteria. We ate salad dressing. The mayo on the eggs was disgustingly industrial, when a little homemade mayo takes two minutes. The burrata was straight from the Lidl fridge. And the dessert 🤢 was a pink, foamy Carrefour-style cake with a not-so-homemade tart, the same one you get in the supermarket. Change your chef, it would be simpler!!! €50 for two people to eat bistro-style food is a steep price for a seat.
