23/08/2026: A truly wonderful culinary discovery, and we received a very warm welcome! We dined with our teenagers, who ordered homemade burgers with fries. They gave it 5 stars, and they're usually quite strict with our restaurant reviews :) Well done! We opted for the €44 set menu, which included a starter, a "trou normand" (lime and Calvados ice cream), a main course, cheese, and dessert. Everything was very generous. We recommend arriving at the restaurant well-fed if you choose this menu :) The foie gras starter with Calvados, homemade bread, and chestnut and dried fruit was excellent! The salmon gravlax was also excellent! The seafood croque-croute was very flavorful and arrived piping hot. For dessert, we had a macaron, a Calvados-flavored crème brûlée, and an apple cake. All were excellent as well. All the ingredients are fresh. Kudos to the chef who knows how to combine them to our great delight. This is the kind of restaurant quality that's becoming increasingly rare. The waiter was attentive and kind. We highly recommend this restaurant, which deserves to be better known. Slightly set back from the other restaurants facing the port, it's easily accessible with ample parking. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop here. Thank you for your warm welcome.

10/09/2026: A very warm welcome in a pleasant setting. True professionalism and love in every dish for this authentic home-style cooking. The menu is enticing and the prices are reasonable. Special mention goes to the baked egg with raw milk Camembert and bacon, and to the crispy lamb. A rare and delicious find, the kind that's becoming increasingly rare.

05/09/2026: My husband and I came for lunch today. From the appetizer to the dessert, it was absolutely delicious! You can tell that every dish is created with passion using high-quality ingredients. The service was excellent, and despite the fact that the person had to manage both the kitchen and the service for several tables, there were no unreasonable wait times. As dessert lovers, and with two sweet tooths, we've never had such a good crème brûlée; the rum flavor is simply divine! We look forward to coming back soon! See you soon!

The homemade sauces, in particular, were incredibly delicious and gave the dishes that special something. You can simply taste the emphasis placed on quality and flavor. On top of that, the service was very friendly and attentive. It was especially helpful for us that German was spoken – this made communication completely straightforward, and we immediately felt at ease. 🇩🇪🇫🇷 A thoroughly enjoyable visit with fantastic food, friendly people, and a pleasant atmosphere. 05/09/2026: Delicious food and a great concept. Simply a wonderful experience! Even with limited French, we managed just fine. All the staff were friendly and had a great sense of humor. We'd especially like to commend Axel at the grill. It was fun to watch him. We were just passing through. It's a shame, because we'd love to come back.

18/08/2026: Fantastic!!! You can't come to Caen and not come here. The best steak tartare we've ever had. The wine was a proper serving, not the standard 12cl they give you in France. The service was excellent.

18/08/2026: A wonderful café, the owners are very friendly, and the specialty coffee is delicious. It has a lovely terrace, perfect for relaxing and enjoying life at a leisurely pace, right on the main pedestrian street. They also sell whole bean coffee to take away and filters for Aeropress and V60 brewers. I took some Aeropress filters because I'm on a road trip ☺️

15/09/2026: Excellent value for money, well-prepared food, good service (the owner and her daughter). There are still restaurants in France with wine lists priced between €20 and €25, where a glass costs €3.50. Honestly, it's a must-try. I highly recommend it.

18/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! A little outside the center of Caen, but well worth the detour! We had a fantastic time at Chef and his wife's restaurant. Exceptional value for money, with high-quality ingredients and refined, flavorful, and perfectly executed cuisine. The chef is incredibly attentive to his guests, with great kindness and passion. His wife provides attentive service and offers excellent advice on dishes and wines. An authentic, warm, and unpretentious place where you can truly feel the desire to please and offer beautiful cuisine. Thank you for your hospitality and congratulations to you both for this wonderful restaurant! We will definitely be back.

31/08/2026: Simply excellent! We had the bouillabaisse royale, a delight. Only the desserts, tarte tatin and rice pudding, were ordinary, but the main courses were wonderful.
