16/09/2024: Très déçu !! Nous sommes venu y manger une fondue durant l'hiver 2023 et c'était parfait. Nous y sommes retourné début septembre 2023 et.... Du tournedos à la carte mais pas en cuisine, un pavé de bœuf cuit sur un grille sûrement charboné vu le goût et l'odeur de la viande, odeur qui a rapidement envahie la salle de restaurant, des frites brûlées et un vin gris/ blanc servi trop chaud...dommage, peut être une fatigue de fin de saison ou le chef en congés ce soir là??? Nous cherchons ailleurs la prochaine fois

17/09/2024: Just a coffee and two pastries each, early this morning. Nicolas served us kindly with a big smile and a bowl of water for the dog without asking. We appreciated the very cozy interior, the friendly atmosphere with regulars and the pastries that were still warm and crispy. We will come back!

15/09/2024: Who has not experienced the pleasures of Pierre Loti knows NOTHING of the pleasures that our mortal existence has to offer us! I still remember, and will forever remember, the day when my eyes first landed on the menu of this establishment. What grace, what elegance in this sequence of flavors offered! The simple enumeration of the dishes had already brought my gourmet mind to satiety, but the stomach has its reasons, and the hunger tugging at my insides, I resolved to enter, although I was not certain of being worthy, into this Academos garden of table pleasures. The reception was beyond all expectations, full of grace and restraint which, without falling into the excesses of pedantry, demonstrated a refinement capable of satisfying the most demanding of souls; as if I had in an instant become a respected and loved member of his new family. The waitress? I wanted to call her “mother” because she was so gentle and caring. The boss? The untied apron gave a glimpse of bulging muscles and a Brobdingnagian body reminded me of Myron's Discobolus and all the anatomical masterpieces that ancient sculpture offered us in abundance. Of the dishes that I tasted, I cannot say much, except that their subtle composition made me suddenly aware of the finitude of the descriptive qualities of all language and all literature; as all the words in the world cannot describe the maelstrom of enjoyment and satisfaction which flowed from my mouth to my throat, even down my throat. All the bacchantes of ancient Greece, the crew of Odysseus at the banquet of Phaeacia, the gods seated in Asgard with the Einherjar, Gargantua gorging himself in Thelema, all have known only the evocation of a dream next centuries-old enjoyments offered by the Pierre Loti in Royan, in Charente-Maritime! Praise be to the leader, and bless his team! Yes ! I affirm this without fear of offense, and without fear! If Christ had known this table, tasted these flesh and drunk these wines, he would have been so fat that all the legions of Rome would not have had the strength to raise the cross after having nailed him there!!!

17/08/2024: tous les repas servis sont bien présentés et appréciés. Tajine, couscous de la mer, couscous,plateau de fruits de mer, poisson, apéritif tout est très bien. accueil,service avec le sourire. mm les toilettes sont très propres. une adresse à ne pas manquer.n allez pas jusqu’au arcade…😘

17/08/2024: Dîner en couple lors de notre passage à Royan. Superbe restaurant loin du flou touristique, avec une magnifique vue sur le port. Service agréable et très efficace. Les plats étaient très bons et copieux, avec des spécialités marocaines que nous reviendrons goûter. Les détails qui font la différence : les olives avec l’apéritif, les repas servis au bon moment, le café avec le dessert comme à notre demande. Tout est respecté. Merci pour cet agréable moment :)

07/09/2024: We were passing through. Your shop is a must, the niniches, cartons and marshmallows had to be in our return suitcases. Your chocolate sorbet is a marvel, my husband is a fan of pistachio and coconut ice cream. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Don't pass by Royan without stopping there.

11/09/2024: Exceptionnel a royan pour qui aime lambiance marché et sud ouest. Nous y mangeons toutes les semaines, le menu est très raisonnable en prix, et chaque jour différent, cuisine du marché... juste à côté, donc facile pour se garer. Il y a beaucoup d habitués, preuve que la cuisine est bonne ! Ce dimanche piquilos en entrée, filet de bœuf exceptionnel avec sauce morilles et gâteau aux pommes excellent pour 24 euros. En semaine c'est un peu moins cher mais tout aussi bon. Personnel efficace et souriant. Les responsables jeunes et très aimables assurent dans la continuité tout en ayant adapté. Bref une pépite.

The freshest products are enhanced by refined and inventive cuisine, with a presentation that is as beautiful as it is delicious. Each dish is a work of art, as pleasant to look at as it is to taste. I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s flawless! An experience not to be missed.

13/09/2024: La bonne Fourchette is a first for us, passing through Royan, very good address everything is homemade and it shows, delicious cuisine, the owner friendly, pleasant (made me think of Muriel Robin 😉) ..pleasure to come back, good luck 😊

12/09/2024: Very poor welcome, the owner does not take foreigners and is supposedly full even though there was not a cat, my two friends were Alsatians and I am Bordelaise, so French, I will not set foot there again

16/09/2024: from the outside it doesn't look like a restaurant but when you go inside you are surprised 😲 it's magnificent and very large, whether it's the welcome, the service and the cooking, preparation of the entry to the dessert everything is homemade and it's very good. It is a good address to recommend.

17/07/2024: Nous avons choisi ce restaurant avec nos petits fils qui voulaient manger un hamburger. Bref 45 minutes d’attente pour avoir un plat après l’apéritif. Pas un grand moment de cuisine l l’huile des frites mériterait d’être changée car toutes noires, la Daurade sans goût, les hamburgers meilleurs chez Mc Do d’après les garçons. C’est quand même dommage vu le prix. Dommage le cadre est sympa et les serveuses aussi.

11/09/2024: Unfortunately very disappointing. I order a crepe and ask not to add whipped cream. The crepe comes with whipped cream...and it's not very good. Additionally, the onions in the pancake were undercooked. The waitress was not very enthusiastic about doing her job.

03/09/2024: Very friendly know the place is not at all difficult to get to Place Charles de Gaulle (Red Square).
