16/09/2026: A pure delight on every level. The cuisine was delicious, refined, and generous. We were surprised and delighted at every step. The wines offered with the dishes were perfect. The service was also a true pleasure. Welcoming, attentive, without any unnecessary frills or obsequiousness for a Michelin-starred restaurant, which was very much appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend this place of culinary pleasure. Thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience you gave us.

21/09/2026: Good and plentiful food. It's a shame the terraces aren't yet non-smoking; it's really annoying when you can't stand smoke.

12/09/2026: Closed a bit early (6:30 pm) for a Saturday. It's a shame, a slice of Pierrier wouldn't have gone amiss, and at the very least, it would have been quick to eat.

18/09/2026: What a wonderful surprise this restaurant was during our visit to Brives! There were four of us, and we tried the trout, calf's head, and tuna as starters, the sea bass and lamb as main courses, and the strawberry, yuzu, and chocolate dessert. Suffice it to say, the four of us practically tried everything on the menu. I don't usually post reviews unless something is exceptionally good... or exceptionally bad. Well, I must admit that we all found this restaurant extraordinary. Everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I don't understand the few negative reviews. In my opinion, it deserves a Michelin star for a very competitive price. What's more, the setting is truly delightful. We took a menu so we wouldn't miss it on our next trip to the region. Congratulations to the entire team, and thank you for this wonderful experience.

06/09/2026: Excellent culinary experience! The menu offers a wide variety of sophisticated starters and main courses, and the food does not disappoint! We discovered this restaurant during an overnight stop in Donzenac, and it was truly one of the best surprises of our trip. We enjoyed an aperitif, starters, main courses, dessert, and a bottle of wine for approximately €60 per person. The atmosphere was simple yet elegant. Bonus: 150-space parking lot right across the street.

19/09/2026: While visiting the city, we stopped for a drink at this bar. We were greeted with a smile, but the atmosphere was lacking. The bar offers scratch cards and PMU (horse racing betting), and also serves meals.

18/06/2026: Family run, rooms are very clean, the way they restored the room is delightful, the fixtures are high end, bed is very comfortable, food and wine excellent, try the local craft beer, lots of parking and the young lady managing everything is passionate and friendly. Good find in an otherwise slightly barren but bucolic area!

04/06/2026: The most helpful and wonderful people we met during our journey in France. Long story short: I injured my leg, and while driving back home, our car broke down near Ussel. As we urgently searched for a place to stay, we ended up at the Grand Hôtel—and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. François helped us with absolutely everything: communicating with the workshop, finding local services, and, most importantly, providing us with a charming and comfortable place to stay. His kindness and support helped us cope with all the unexpected problems that suddenly came our way. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. To my mind this hotel could be a perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding region. A million thanks to François and the entire team for their hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care. We will never forget your help during a very difficult moment of our trip. Highly recommended!
