19/09/2026: It's a shame we can't give zero stars. We called to make a reservation and were told we could be seated in 20 minutes. So we arrived, and nobody spoke to us for 30 minutes, not a glance from the servers, nothing. My dad finally managed to grab the very unpleasant owner, who told him she was going to set a table and then left. We waited another 15 minutes and then left. Not to mention the people next to us who had also been waiting for over 30 minutes. When we called, if the staff were overwhelmed, they should have let us know it wasn't possible instead of wasting our time. It's a real shame for such a nice little village that a restaurant like this is so unwelcoming. We didn't want to wait any longer to eat there, but we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When you work in the restaurant industry, you're in contact with people every day; if you can't at least be polite and friendly, you should find another job. job.

19/09/2026: We couldn't rate the food, etc., because we had requested a table by phone but never received one, and we waited over 45 minutes in front of the restaurant for nothing. The owner doesn't look at the customers, doesn't even care whether there's a reservation or not. We would have preferred to be told it wasn't possible directly over the phone rather than being told yes and then not even bothering to give us a proper welcome. We do not recommend this establishment.

12/09/2026: 1 Deficient would be an exaggeration Review of La Gentilhommière Review pending Rated 😂😂😂 One point is two too many - After having been here countless times between 1996 and 2003 – sometimes even staying overnight – and always being rightly enthusiastic, this was a sobering disappointment. From the untrained schoolgirl staff to the carelessly prepared canteen food, everything was simply abysmal. If I wasn't lucky enough to make eye contact with the girls (which only happened once) to express a wish, I had to shout "PERDON!" across the room – whereupon the equally low-class, knife-licking FritteBu clientele looked over at me with startled amusement, and the "waitress" approached with reproachful glances. Since I don't generally dislike Cologne's chip shops, the comparison might be somewhat unfair to the "FritteBud"... in terms of quality, friendliness, value for money, and taste – I hope they'll forgive the comparison – value for money? Never again, my friend! ------ It continued: barely an hour after leaving the restaurant, the important-looking manager, accompanied by two waitresses, asked me to leave the premises with my vehicle. However, I had drunk wine with my "dinner" and politely declined the request while sitting in my camper van. I think the "Chef-Coque" tried to compensate for the bland side dishes with the oversalted fish – a real shame that it didn't really work – especially at those prices! Let's see how the night continues. About an hour later, the French police also politely asked me to leave the premises. With the receipt and a breathalyzer test, it was clear that I had consumed too much alcohol in my blood after four glasses of wine, so I politely declined to leave. Unfortunately, the police didn't give me the required written permission to drive with alcohol in my system. Too bad – I would have loved to get out of there immediately... Every Cologne FritteBud (a type of schnapps) simply HAS to be better; I should try it again after this experience 😂😂 Anyone who truly feels at home here at Gentilhommiere belongs here.

02/09/2026: The restaurant is really nice, the setting is ideal, the food is good, and the service team is very pleasant.

02/07/2026: Great location (5 mins to the old town and a quick walk to the vineyards) and friendly staff. Rooms could use a bit of renovation and the mobile A/C cooling the rooms is loud and not very effective. Ina. Hot summer day, bring earplugs!

13/09/2026: Impeccable, we have absolutely nothing to say except that it was a truly wonderful experience; the food was really excellent.

26/08/2026: Good value for money and especially very enthusiastic about the veggie burger, which was exceptionally tasty! But the other dishes and drinks were also top-notch.
