18/08/2024: We went to the windward side to drink a glass of Chablis. At the next table, 4 people sat down and smoked cigarettes one behind the other. By the time we were served the tide had turned. The Chablis smelled of cold tobacco. It's rubbish. So I set the atmosphere to zero

15/08/2024: Breakfast taken during the week in August. The terrace was full, but the service extremely fast and efficient. “English” breakfast, classic café terrace atmosphere. Orange juice, hot drink, croissant, baguette, jam, fried eggs with bacon. Without being haute cuisine, for the price displayed, it was very acceptable and complete as a breakfast.

The decor is tasteful, elegant, and welcoming, with high-quality bedding. You sleep very peacefully. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and you can tell the new owners are committed to offering a professional and modern service while preserving the charm of the place. The breakfast is generous, with excellent products, and the overall atmosphere of the inn makes you want to extend your stay. A wonderful place to stay in Moncontour, ideal for a weekend getaway or a longer break. We will definitely be back!

17/02/2026: We discovered the inn after the change of ownership...and what a pleasant surprise! The place has completely transformed: a warm atmosphere, a truly medieval world revisited with elegance, and above all, an original and accessible tapas concept. You create your own feast freely, choosing from a variety of portions, which allows you to try everything. Continuous service from 10 am to 10 pm is rare and very much appreciated. The kebabs are delicious, the seafood incredibly fresh (special mention for the oyster and shrimp platter), and the cheeses and charcuterie are well-chosen. We especially loved the truffle toast and the Breton far with salted caramel. You can feel a real commitment to quality, to modernizing while preserving the inn's spirit. The service is welcoming and friendly, and you feel valued. An address that deserves to be (re)discovered. Congratulations on this wonderful transformation!

20/07/2024: Dinner at this very easy going, casual restaurant. You immediately feel relaxed at “at home”, the staff is attentive and friendly and the menu limited but absolutely adequate. Good oysters, fish chowder and meat balls with tomato sauce. You feel that the chef attends to details; all dishes were really good. Very nice choice of wine by the glass! Thank you, team! We warmly recommend this place!

16/07/2024: Malgré une vue magnifique sur l'île de Bréhat, peu de produits frais, beaucoup de congelé non annoncé sur la carte. Très très déçus par la cuisine. Seul le vin etait correct.
