24/02/2026: A very warm welcome, even for a group with children. Plenty of games available. Space at the entrance to remove your snow gear. Spacious dining room. Pleasant service. Good cocktails. The location seems nice, even though we were unlucky with the fog. However, I was a little disappointed by the Larmont platter: mushroom crust without any bread or croutons, cooked ham that was good, whereas I was expecting roast ham (perhaps I misunderstood the description).

22/02/2026: First, the positives. A warm welcome and the food was delicious. However, we were told that several crepes weren't available, so I asked for one that was, but was told it took too long to prepare. Great. Then we found the crepe wasn't filled enough, folded too tightly like a taco. You have to order a second one to feel satisfied. €10-12 per crepe adds up quickly, and we found that a bit much. And finally, for dessert, a crepe with, and I quote, "homemade hot chocolate." I only got two dashes of industrial chocolate sauce. Misleading, even dishonest, and therefore illegal.

18/02/2026: Avoid the €13 set menu; the sugar crepes were undercooked, and the same goes for some of the dessert crepes not included in the set menu.

15/02/2026: A very disappointing Valentine's Day meal. The bread was frozen (white inside), a baguette just like the ones from the supermarket. Even for a Valentine's Day evening, where you obviously take your time, the service between courses was far too slow. Furthermore, €68 for a meal with tuna, duck, and perfectly cooked eggs, plus maybe four morels, is outrageous. There was no foie gras or scallops, which could explain the price of the menu per person (€68). And the weak point was the pianist (a very beautiful performance), but playing non-stop for three hours at a loud volume was too much. Disappointed, especially for such a budget for an evening out, we won't be back. Thank you to the very professional waitress who did her best.

05/03/2026: I regularly come to the Brasserie de La Poste in Pontarlier with friends. I usually order a coffee and they serve us peanuts, which is a nice touch. Today, the situation was different and rather disappointing. I simply asked for a glass of water with a small plate of peanuts while my friend had an espresso. The waiter refused, saying it wasn't house policy. What bothered me most wasn't necessarily the refusal itself, but the way it was said. The tone was cold and unpleasant, especially since I'm a regular customer. A little more flexibility, or at least a friendlier explanation, would have been appreciated. It's a shame for an establishment I frequent and used to enjoy. The welcome and service make a big difference to the overall coffee experience.
