A +++ mention to the dish “grilled salmon, endive fondue, orange fromage blanc” is a real delight.
The floating island is gargantuan! but gluttony solves the problem... :)

The cuisine is refined despite a dish that is too discreet. The chocolate mousse is a nice surprise.
The service is fast and quality.
Apparently unsuitable for piss-vinegars.

14/03/2024: Our experience was very disappointing. Service was exceptionally slow, with an hour wait between each course. The welcome was neither warm nor pleasant, and no goodbye was said as we left. Additionally, the dishes were rather basic and didn't stand out. The restaurant refused the restaurant voucher card even though it is listed on Edenred and Sodexo. We advise you to look for other options in Châteaudun, as there are certainly places offering better quality of service and finer cuisine :)
12/03/2024: nothing to complain about it was perfect, it's the first time that I have been welcomed so well and the kitchen is up to the service, thanks to the Chef and the waiter for these delicious dishes enjoyed with the family

04/04/2024: A treat I recommend to anyone who comes to visit Chartres.
01/04/2024: This restaurant near the cathedral offers quality French cuisine (maître restaurateur). The service is perfect and many wines by the glass are offered.
The prices offered are reasonable.
The website is up to date and the menu changes regularly.
It is advisable to reserve but a few tables may be available in this magnificent setting of old Chartres. (right opposite the prefecture)

01/04/2024: Service far too long. More than an hour to be served, including 2 children's menus. No carafe of water or bread to wait. Forced to go get it ourselves after 35 minutes. Still waiting for the 2 ice creams from the children's menus (more than 20 minutes).

We ate very well, very pleasant staff!

04/04/2024: A lot of breakage which can happen. Tagliatelle a nest per person very light, We asked for tagliatelle again, it's not possible there are no more. At the start of the service they told us that there is no of new potatoes and when they asked for a second garnish (the risotto), they told us I'm going to look in the kitchen and they didn't have new potatoes instead Already came the cocktails were great and the blah where was the alcohol.

17/03/2024: we stayed thanks to a smartbox! there were traces of humidity in the room! so we changed rooms it was better but not yet that! The not comfortable 140×200 bed. the dilapidated bathroom. Small room. The meal via the smartbox is very limited and requires little effort (cheese plate with only 2 cheeses to allow the plural in the word cheese, meat with only 2 new potatoes cut in half on a skewer, little in quantity) but the chocolate cake was very good. I think that when you order via a smartbox they do everything to ensure that you add money by choosing, for example, another dish off the menu. The breakfast was good. Not enough quantity of pastries.
05/03/2024: A hotel-restaurant discovered recently, during my business trips: an address that I remember, and where I return with pleasure and relaxation. Top-notch catering service!, and rooms with a view of the park, spacious and clean.

The 2nd time, reservation registration error on their part, this can happen of course. But, no questioning on their part, it ruins everything for us. 1 father and 1 daughter do not come at 9:30 p.m. because there is light! Too bad because the food is really excellent.

24/03/2024: Restaurant with buffet for starters and lots of choice and very professional service. Huge inside, almost full every lunchtime, the only downside is parking, including in the car park a little further up.
22/02/2024: Finally a restaurant where for lunch you can be served quickly with a choice of homemade dishes and vegetables as well as desserts... In this restaurant there is a good flow, so the meat is tender and excellent with a little homemade sauce, the salad buffet is not to be outdone accompanied by its homemade mayonnaise, cold meats (crusted dough, sausage, smoked ham etc.) obviously with its bowl of pickles and mimosa eggs, tomato salad, beets, carrots, potatoes , the smoked salmon trimmings will delight you.. you can go there with your eyes closed, the staff is young and friendly and the owner is a sweetheart, she will be able to advise you... Enjoy your meal.
