17/12/2024: It's a chain, the food is standardized but the staff is pleasant and the menu is changed regularly depending on the seasons. And the beer that is brewed on site is good. Especially amber.

02/11/2025: It's definitely number 9; you can't miss the porch with its large wooden door, but you have to look up to see the rather discreet sign. Inside, you'll find a patio with a monumental stone table, numerous potted trees—lemon, orange, jasmine—and a room where jazz concerts are held if you happen to be there on the right day. An oasis of greenery in the heart of Nîmes, it's a restaurant, bar, and live music venue all rolled into one... it all depends on your luck and your mood.

03/10/2025: Hidden away but close to the coliseum, Le 9 is a true gem. Great atmosphere, great service, and delicious food, reasonable prices. Can't go wrong.

18/09/2024: Nice restaurant where we enjoyed the feria while having dinner at reasonable prices. The pancakes and pancakes were good. Menu with a limited choice, which suggests a guarantee of freshness. Good value, quality and price.

11/12/2025: After several visits to this establishment, which had previously impressed us—both with the quality of the food and the attentive service—we unfortunately had two very disappointing experiences in quick succession. The first incident occurred upon arrival: the official opening time was announced as 7:30 p.m., and two customers, who had entered at 7:25 p.m., were asked to leave and wait outside. The atmosphere immediately soured, and no one dared to enter before 7:40 p.m. Once at the reception desk, my friend and I stood for about fifteen minutes waiting to be seated, a particularly long wait for someone with a disability. I had specified a gluten-free diet when making the reservation. Despite this, we were brought three small gluten-free rolls… but no regular bread for my friend, who ended up eating them since nothing else was offered. The result: I had to order another batch—another twenty-minute wait—this rationing giving a rather disconcerting impression of pettiness for an establishment of this caliber. Another surprise: the bottle of wine we ordered was simply placed on the table, without the traditional tasting beforehand, a basic courtesy in a restaurant of this standard. As for the dishes, the verdict was painful: lack of seasoning, bland flavors, and a culinary signature that seems to have lost its former brilliance. As luck would have it, my wife and I returned the following Saturday to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, both the service and the food confirmed a decline in quality that is hard to ignore. The experience was nothing like the one that had so captivated us during our first visits. We retain the memory of a restaurant that was once remarkable, but it must be said that the standard is no longer there. We sincerely hope that the establishment will be able to recover, but as things stand, our assessment is significantly lowered.

09/12/2025: It was good, but I expected something more refined for the price. The portions were generous, and the service was pleasant. However, there are two dining rooms, and I would certainly have enjoyed the experience more if our table of 15 had been seated in the other room. Our smaller table would surely have had a more enjoyable evening.

02/10/2024: We chose the menu…. A disaster. Brioche not great starving and cold filling, main course: the fish was not salty the risotto was not cooked and without salt too, the dessert looked like a failed chocolate mousse, we looked in vain for the crunch of the crumble and the hot cold contrast announcement. The lady in charge of the room kindly offered us 2 glasses of wine to compensate for the mediocrity of the dishes. I hope for the restaurant that it was an evening without, but we will not return there. I'm not in the habit of leaving bad comments but given the tasteless nature of the meal from start to finish...

21/09/2024: Great experience! We wanted to treat ourselves to a moment of relaxation during our last evening in Nîmes and chose to discover the pleasures of Les Halles. A stone's throw from the Halles de Nîmes, the establishment, which we highly recommend, offers a great experience in a soothing setting (the patio and the fountain). The food is excellent and the service is high quality. The team is professional, gives good advice and offers quality products. Thanks again everyone!

03/08/2024: We came here by chance and saw Mojito and Daiquiri banana on the menu. These were perfectly prepared, one of the best mojitos I have ever had. The prices of the cocktails are very democratic. Decided to come back later to eat. This was also very good! Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended!

02/08/2024: We really liked this restaurant, the waitress is great, we had a board of cold cuts and cheese, a bowl of fries and a bowl of salad. Simple and good food.

10/12/2024: Business restaurant in the middle of the Grezan industrial zone in Nîmes, easy parking access even for heavy goods vehicles!!

30/11/2025: This place is a disgrace! They make fun of the customers and their employees, especially the new ones. What is the world coming to?! They'll recognize themselves; they're the two oldest in the bakery. I'll never set foot in there again, nor will I give them my money, because they are truly haughty and disrespectful. Ugh! I confirm the other reviews that say the same thing. Where is the manager? Plus, their tarts are undercooked, especially the pastry. They don't taste very good... a real disgrace. And on top of that, these women are like radar guns, watching and peering everywhere. No need for security cameras, as if we were about to steal! The saleswoman serves you with her mouth full, and on top of that, she puts the chocolates on the shelves without gloves! That's completely unhygienic.

23/11/2025: This Sunday morning, I went to Villaret's for Sunday breakfast: croissants and brioche. It was 7:40 a.m. I walked through the shop; I was the only customer. The display wasn't yet set up. I was facing four saleswomen who didn't see fit to interrupt their conversation. Almost a minute passed before the youngest of them deigned to give me a half-hearted greeting. I asked for croissants and brioche. "With sugar or praline?" she asked. "Don't you have any large plain brioches?" I then inquired. The red-haired saleswoman then intervened, telling her colleague, "Wait for the large brioche, I have orders..." After two minutes, and after the saleswoman who was helping me found the right size bag for my two croissants, she asked her colleague again, I received a negative response regarding the purchase of the brioche, because there were orders... it was 7:45 a.m.! I've been a customer of this bakery for over fifty years, but this is the last straw. I left the croissants and went to Grasset in Les Halles. A well-stocked display, a smile, plain brioche. Villaret, you've definitely lost a customer.

07/07/2025: Back again 2025. The new system for ordering and serving works well and the food and drink is as good as ever. Went back this June, 2022. Definitely improved service and pastries and drinks as good as ever. I wonder how the small staff would cope with a rush but pleased to see some return to form. My one-star review of a year or two back follows. What they serve is still pretty good but the service is laughably bad; rude, disinterested, error-prone. One can hardly believe that the managers of this place have let it slip so far from its former eminence in the vicinity.

05/07/2025: Great place for brunch - had a delicious iced café au Lait with coconut milk and the eggs Benedict. The price was very reasonable. They made my bacon crispy just as I asked, which is not something a lot of places are willing to accommodate, so I was extremely grateful. All the staff we interacted with were lovely and kind. The negative reviews I saw seemed to come from entitled or impatient customers. We saw several ourselves who didn't seem to notice the signs on all the tables stating you need to order inside. The interior is beautiful anyways so it's a great opportunity to look at the original architecture. If we have time I'll definitely be back for another iced café! Thank you so much!

21/09/2024: After waiting 1 hour. Dry, cold burger. The spoons to eat the ice cream were missing. Decrease in quality of service and food.

21/09/2024: Eating this day waiting 45min and missing a drink and salad cutlery, I went to see a manager her only word sorry to us your order is lost she told me. Especially since on the application the order was ready not even a gesture, not at all commercial, I will not go back and in addition toilet not very clean with no toilet paper.
