05/09/2026: A wonderful experience! The dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients enhanced by a personal touch (petals and microgreens). Our two dishes, the fresh salad and the andouillette sausage with mashed potatoes, were excellent. Special mention for the wine pairing. In short: don't hesitate! 😊

05/09/2026: There are restaurants where we go to eat… 🍽️ And then there are those that end up becoming a little piece of our history. ❤️ In Nîmes, many people know Christine and Lilian. For many years, they ran Le Fanfaron, in the Révolution district. An iconic eatery, just the way we like them: generous, flavorful, indulgent cuisine, with a touch of warmth… but above all, a place where you felt good. You discovered a thousand and one flavors there, you ran into regulars, you met up with friends… And for my children and me, it became a bit like our family canteen. ❤️ You know, those places where you don't just have memories on your plate, but also memories of life. So naturally, when Christine and Lilian decided to write a new chapter in their story by taking over Le Bistrot des Arènes, just steps from the Nîmes Arena, I wanted to follow this new adventure. And what do I particularly like about it? They haven't tried to become someone else. They've stayed true to themselves. Generous cuisine. Fresh produce. Local ingredients. Short supply chains. Local producers. And above all, that authenticity that's part of their DNA. But because their story doesn't end in Nîmes… 😉 They've also slipped a little piece of my Drôme region into their Nîmes cuisine. ❤️ Two dishes showcase our famous ravioli from Romans-sur-Isère. So naturally, when you're from the Drôme region and you find a little piece of home amidst all these flavors… 👉 It can't help but tantalize the palate and taste buds! 😂 And ultimately, I think that's precisely what makes them successful. Christine and Lilian have crafted their menu based on their own story. On their experiences. On their encounters. On their roots. On their desires. And it shows. Because great cuisine, like a great adventure, doesn't need to be like everyone else's. It simply needs to reflect the people who create it. This new adventure began a few months ago… So today, I simply wanted to tell them: Well done, Christine. Well done, Lilian. ❤️ Bravo for your courage, your hard work, and for bringing a little bit of the Fanfaron spirit to the Bistrot des Arènes. The meal was refined, delicious, and indulgent, reflecting the chef's talent. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Dare to push open the door of this little restaurant which, from the outside, doesn't look like much, but inside... what charm! Everything is homemade, cooked to perfection—vegetables, meat, or fish. 26/08/2026: Skab is a restaurant where every bite is an explosion of flavors, where you savor and dissect each taste sensation. I came for my birthday and left absolutely delighted. A huge thank you to them for all their attentive service during my visit! From the front-of-house staff to the kitchen team, everyone was incredibly kind. It's also one of the few Michelin-starred restaurants that offers a menu that allows those on a tighter budget to indulge in a little culinary dream. One of the best restaurants in Nîmes, if not the best. PS: The grapefruit marshmallow is a real treat.

Everything is homemade, even the children's menu! Very pleasant staff with great advice. Very reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity. 22/08/2026: A very warm welcome and thank you to Achille. Thanks also to the team for the meal and the friendly atmosphere. The dishes are homemade, the fries are homemade, and it's absolutely delicious. There's indoor and outdoor seating (see photos). A nice touch: for the children, they hand out lots of paper to draw on and keep them entertained while they wait! At the same time, the children's orders go quickly, which is great. It's a great place to eat in Nîmes 🤟😉
