Lunch menu starter/main course or main course/dessert at 14€50 (epd 16.50), Tuesday to Saturday, almost all homemade, short menu that changes every day, very pleasant welcome, top-notch cuisine, in short, to make and redo 😁 (In the evening no catering but nice tapas) Shaded terrace UPDATE April 2022: Inflation has been there, traders are suffering from it like us. Prices are now P 12€50, E/P or P/D 15€50 and E/P/D 18€50 What hasn't changed is that it's still super good!!! July 2024 update: No price change, and still excellent! Best address in the neighborhood. And for those wondering: the formula is ALSO served on Saturday lunchtime!!!

26/08/2024: Absolutely outstanding, unbelievably good food but at these prices I can't think of anywhere better. Lovely, friendly waitress. My advice is don't bother with the tourist places nearby, this is the place to eat. The locals clearly know a good thing when they see it. Easily five stars

26/09/2024: Je recommande sans hésiter. J’y retourne à chaque fois que je veux déjeuner en ville, la cuisine est super bonne et le service est vraiment chaleureux. Si vous voulez vous régaler, passer un bon moment en famille ou entre amis avec un personnel souriant, je vous le recommande. Big up à la salade caesar (la sauce est à se damner), le confit de canard et l’entre deux mer 👌

10/09/2024: An iconic family run restaurant positioned right opposite the Monument aux Girondins. A very beautiful spot. We started with yummy snails and oysters for entree’s. The mains were outstanding. We enjoyed the prawn risotto and chargrilled octopus. These were accompanied by glasses of white wine from Burgundy, recommended by Pierre. Dessert was a must do. The Pear and Almond tart and the vanilla crème brûlée were delicious. The service lead by Gaelle was brilliant and the decor and ambience in this restaurant makes any night special. Highly recommended. Thank you.

10/09/2024: Central and elegant traditional Bordeaux brasserie Correct product quality and prices according to the place. The service was a bit slow, understandable since it was full. The excellent crêpe Suzette and the spectacular wine list Advisable

29/04/2024: Nous étions déjà venus, force est de constater que la qualité a baissé. Nous avons été déçus du choix du buffet salé, les émincés de poulet froid étaient encore congelés, une seule assiette de toasts au saumon à midi pour l’ensemble de la salle, pas de réassorts après, longue attente pour avoir des œufs brouillés… décevant pour notre part

31/08/2024: Situé en plein centre de Bordeaux, à côté du Grand théâtre, dans une rue commerçante avec pas mal de restaurants, nous avons découvert le big pour un déjeuner à 4 sur conseil d’une amie bordelaise qui aime beaucoup cette brasserie. Il y a quelques tables en terrasses où nous avons déjeuné mais la salle a l air très agréable. Notre jeune serveuse était très sympathique et professionnelle. La carte, assez variée pour que chacun trouve son bonheur, est complétée de plats du jour. Nous avons très bien déjeuné. Les entrecôtes étaient de belles tailles et cuites conformément aux demandes. Nous avons demandé à remplacer l accompagnements pommes de terres par des légumes ce qui a été fait avec plaisir. Le tarte était très bien et mon veau également. Très joli carte des vins avec un beau choix au verre. Le rapport qualité prix est très bien.

21/06/2024: Lovely little Vietnamese fusion place. Odd part of town but perfect if you are waiting for tram to airport or if you are near museum of fine arts. Very friendly, delicious starters and mains particularly the larb and also crispy pork.

08/06/2024: I went to this restaurant with a colleague, for our lunch break. The samosas were excellent, the best I have ever eaten. Really ! My dish, a beef bo bun, was good but nothing more, clearly not crazy at all. As for my colleague, and her Pad Thai, I was shocked, everything was dry, and seemed bland. In short, I would only come back for the samosas and then again because the service is long and not necessarily pleasant.

14/08/2024: Excellent service, but cleaning is not pleasant. There are cobwebs everywhere, I wondered what the kitchen was like... It took away my hunger. I hope they hire a housekeeper, that would make the place nice.

14/09/2024: Very good dish of the day yesterday. Simple but effective, a fish fillet (which I forgot the name) Basque style with small steamed potatoes. Perfectly seasoned.

04/09/2024: I find the negative 1 star comments very very harsh. Came at 3 for lunch in September, the entrecôtes were good, good proportion of fries. The service is fast and the servers are pleasant.

03/09/2024: Too bad because the place is great, tavern decor, spacious, great for groups and children. Extremely long service, for oysters without the shells inside it's better.. ok it can happen but within 24 what's the matter! Expensive price for the quality and quantity. It was an experience to have but too sideways.

27/09/2024: Working for the CNFPT for 2 days, I made a reservation at the Bastide café for 5 people, specifying that we only had one hour for lunch. Besides the fact that the cuisine is very good and the daily menu (main course, dessert, coffee) at €15.70 is completely correct, the boss and his team have "gone out of their way" to make our lives easier despite a full house when a guest got lost, arrived late and was served straight away. Thank you to the whole team and see you soon without fail.

17/09/2024: Steak tartare frankly not good, dishes not copious (we are still hungry at the end of the meal), quite expensive for the little pleasure during the meal... An address that I do not recommend...
