03/03/2026: A new discovery for me! Accompanied by my best friend, we decided to have lunch at this place because the menu looked so tempting... And we were absolutely won over by the daily special, a very generous portion made with organic ingredients. The decor is everything I love: a Parisian tea room filled with paintings and vintage decor (which I adore), and a very warm welcome from a truly colorful character. The only downside: we didn't have room for dessert! And given the size of the portions, I opted to get one to go 🤭 and it was delicious... A must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food.

20/03/2026: We had lunch on the terrace on Sunday the 15th and the food was fantastic. Louise, the waiter who served us, was incredibly friendly. When he saw we were Spanish, he made a real effort to serve us in our language, even though he didn't speak it well. He served our food very quickly and was very attentive to us the whole time. The manager was also very friendly; it's a pleasure to find people like that. The food was delicious and plentiful. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and it was very juicy and delicious. The price was reasonable considering its location almost next to the Cathedral. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely go back.

04/03/2026: A very well-located café, but it's changed a lot! The welcome is good, the service too, but it lacks a touch of warmth. A bit too commercial for my taste... I knew it years ago and I've seen the change...

22/03/2026: Excellent service with friendly and efficient staff, top-notch cuisine (kudos for the homemade veal stew!), reasonable prices, and a very convenient location right next to Bordeaux train station. I highly recommend this Bordeaux brasserie!

19/03/2026: Service was great Location is excellent I am an ipa beer drinker like real hoppy beer and I like to really enjoy my beer so I usually ask if I can try a bit of their ipa before I order I got a sarcastic laugh and judgment. After trying the ipa they offer I just said this is not an ipa I Looking at they laugh even more what a pathetic service. You should know your beer options and should not laugh in your guests faces.

26/12/2025: I booked a room at this establishment for Christmas Eve to avoid driving. Room #2, on the first floor, cost €50. What a nightmare. I only spent 30 minutes there before having to leave and take a taxi home (at nighttime rates). The mattress and sheets were infested with bedbugs, they were moving everywhere, and I have bites all over my body, as confirmed by a medical report. The room was in a deplorable, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable state. I immediately contacted the establishment to report this situation. The only response I received was: "Thank you for letting us know." When I asked for a refund for the night I obviously didn't spend there, they replied: "It's too late, you've already paid." A total lack of professionalism and respect for the customer. This establishment should be avoided at all costs. For €50, it's likely to cost them much more than expected.

01/04/2026: I came for takeout, and was initially greeted by a waiter with a deep but professional voice. After much discussion about what was available for takeout, I finally decided what to order. Meanwhile, a woman, presumably the manager, intervened and wanted to start the whole process over. This resulted in a flurry of activity: she wanted to know, I wanted to explain, and the bartender wanted to emphasize that everything was fine. I placed my order, was told to expect a 20-minute wait, ordered a beer, and tried to find a table while I waited. The manager reminded me that I couldn't sit there as it was reserved for customers. Apparently, I'm not a customer in her eyes. She directed me to a high table near the entrance, a spot usually reserved for the security guard or the waiter, located between the kitchen and the entrance—a perfect spot for someone who wants to feel excluded. I told the waiter I'd prefer to sit somewhere else because I wasn't comfortable in that place, and he agreed. So I sat down at another table next to the bar. No sooner had I sat down than the same manager came running up to tell me it wasn't possible. It has to be said, the restaurant was full; out of roughly 220 seats, there were only 5 customers! I told her that her colleague was fine with me sitting there, and I heard her whisper to him and the other waitress that we shouldn't do that. Apparently, she thinks she knows everything about how hospitality should be managed (that's sarcasm, in case she takes it literally). Some people's life goal is to go to the moon, while others' is to show they're in charge. "A chef is made for a chef," Chirac said. My beer arrived two minutes later, two-thirds beer and one-third foam. I think the waitress is still getting the hang of things. Five minutes later, the order was ready. A ten-minute wait instead of the promised twenty minutes—tough luck, I had to finish my beer as quickly as possible. The waiter, in a hurried tone, like someone who didn't really want to talk, told me the bill: 44 euros. I paid! And I took my order, happy to escape this atmosphere that made me feel unwelcome. Back home, no luck, no cutlery, no napkins, and I was told to eat with my hands. A return to basics, some might say. The price you pay for poor service, I'd say. Luckily, the food was good, which made me realize that at least the chef wasn't judging. A little advice for this suburban restaurant owner (related to the restaurant's location, of course 🤨): Focus on the quality of service rather than judging customers based on appearance. Otherwise, become a bouncer in a nightclub. There are other ways to boost your self-esteem than using others to soothe your neuroses. (To whom it may concern!)
