This place is largely underrated knowing the succulent tastes of platters they prepare and served by energized and friendly staff .
Had their foie gras (perfect) and their Brie with fries (so palatable) then their house burger ( so good) with their duck plate .
Definitely coming back for more 👍
26/08/2024: Very good quality-price ratio. They have a daily menu for €15.9 with a starter, main course and dessert. We ordered the salmon and were pleasantly surprised, there was quite a lot of it. However, the chicken portion was smaller. Very happy with the treatment of the waiter and the service.

On the other hand, a small downside, the table top was a little sticky, to be improved, because it was very unpleasant to the touch...

2 hot dishes, dry salmon lasagna that is inedible.
Beautiful desserts all the same, but for 35€, the customers deserve better, it's not just the setting!! What is the army of servers for??

28/09/2024: Went for breakfast. Menu was pretty simple so perhaps not the best stop if you want some hot food. Pretty convenient though as it’s right in the vicinity of the train station so great to rest your legs as you plan your day in Bordeaux

18/11/2024: La nourriture est originale mais nos plats n'étaient pas très chaud. Les desserts sont eux très riches et manque de finesse. L'addition peut vite grimper! Je ne pense pas renouveller l'expérience là prochaine fois sur Avignon!

25/04/2024: Superb restoration in a setting that is out of the ordinary, friendly and splendid. Didier is at the top and his home cooking is excellent. The icing on the cake (I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake), it is full of anecdotes and good advice (especially on places to visit in Bordeaux as elsewhere in France or in the world). We will come back.

02/11/2024: Typical Bordeaux restaurant. It is very well located and its dishes focus on typical dishes and preparations from the region. We ordered some portions on the terrace to share dinner and the truth is that we loved it. The waiters were very friendly.

20/07/2024: The best quality/price ratio within 1 kilometer. Lunch menu starter/main course or main course/dessert at 14€50 (epd 16.50), Tuesday to Saturday, almost all homemade, short menu that changes every day, very pleasant welcome, top-notch cuisine, in short, to make and redo 😁
(In the evening no catering but nice tapas)

UPDATE April 2022: Inflation has been there, traders are suffering from it like us. Prices are now P 12€50, E/P or P/D 15€50 and E/P/D 18€50
What hasn't changed is that it's still super good!!!
July 2024 update: No price change, and still excellent! Best address in the neighborhood. And for those wondering: the formula is ALSO served on Saturday lunchtime!!!

27/08/2024: 1 étoile pour ne pas dire 0, est-il normal de droguer ses clients ? J’ai fini aux urgences avec des analyses qui se sont avérées positives à une substance qui avait été mise dans mon verre !
Après en avoir discuté avec plusieurs personnes, il semblerait que je ne sois pas la seule à avoir subi ce genre de mésaventure au sein de votre établissement.

14/07/2024: A very unpleasant welcome, I went to have a drink with foreign customers, what a shame...madam asked for tea, refused because after 5 p.m. they no longer serve hot drinks (it was 5:02 p.m.). When paying (39€) they refuse to issue me a note with VAT. Response by rolling her eyes from the waitress: we never give receipts, we don't have a cash register, that's how it is! To flee....

Le responsable de salle est extrêmement bruyant, il devrait se reconvertir en poissonnier. Il parle mal aux serveurs et passe son temps à crier fort pour racoler les clients. Donc ambiance pas ouf !!
28/08/2024: We went here early one evening. The restaurant is located in a nice square. It was bust when we arrived and we were able to get one of the last tables. Service was ok given the number of people. The beer and white wine were cold and acceptable. We ate off a set menu. The food was ok . A little over cooked for me sadly so the average rating. It fills a gap if others are busy.
