02/04/2024: We went based on a recommendation from a blog, I looked before booking, we thought the menu proposal of €18 or €22 was good and they also advertised as if they had quite a few traditional French dishes at a reasonable price. We made the reservation and when we arrived and it was a holiday, the Easter menu was €45 and the menu had nothing to do with what was advertised on the internet. 3 starter dishes, 3 main dishes and 3 desserts at more than double what they offer on their own website. Nothing to see, no dish matches the supposed menu seen before going. Add to that the fact that the menu is only in French, there is no coverage to translate what you understand and don't expect the waiter to help you. At least the tall guy who served us. I understand that special menus are made on holidays and that the menu of the day is not available. What I don't understand is that the menu has nothing to do with it, neither the style of dishes nor the price. It's like making a reservation at one restaurant and then going to another. Bad service and unprofessionalism. It's a shame they deceive like this.

31/03/2024: Extremely disappointing evening.
The reception staff barely greeted us when we arrived, leaving us to walk alone to our table.
The mixed board is €22.50 for small pieces of tasteless cheese and charcuterie.
The dishes were average, the pasta accompanying the octopus too spicy. The flank steak much overcooked and very stringy. Potato chips not cooked.
The poultry dish arrived cold.
During desserts, the wait staff doesn't know how to recognize a pear from a crème brûlée!
The bread was not completely defrosted and very dry.
We wanted to have beef ribs, they were out of stock..
The room staff were little concerned with the satisfaction of these customers, and some did not even know where the establishment's toilets were located!
We asked for a digestive to compensate for these multiple disappointments, which had to be negotiated several times.
When it was time to pay, the person who seemed to be in charge confirmed to us that these disappointments were not serious and that ultimately he didn't care much about our opinion.
Restaurant to avoid, the only advantage such an evening worthy of a hidden camera allowed us to have a good laugh!

04/04/2024: I came yesterday with my little daughter. 1st time since reopening. To really escape. Positive point, thank you to the young woman who advised me on making the choice regarding the children's menu. 2nd the cashier, C. Ce (904) very pleasant. For the rest zero points the person who serves the "bustrot" always so unpleasant. For the rest, cold softened fries, cold puree, green beans without seasoning, in water and cold, I said it was 12 p.m. . We didn't eat anything, the plates left full. 14€ to eat a bottle of ice cream and a dessert, a bit expensive. Never again

09/05/2024: Yet another restaurant to put in our list of good Bordeaux restaurants. The starters (octopus casserole for me and escargot for my other half) and the dishes (scallops and sweet potato puree and prawn risotto) were tasty and delicious. The dishes were plentiful and unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of tasting their profiteroles which I saw passed to another table but it was only later. If you see a photo of them it means we will be back. Big plus at the cocktail which is a treat.
09/05/2024: Didn't eat just sat for coffee that's why I give 5 starts for it , giving the benefit of the doubt but come on now the customer is sitting you immediately have to offer water we have a headache and we wait 30 plus minutes for water

03/04/2024: Stop your cinema, there is nothing on the plate, everything was bland, no taste, nothing exceptional apart from a horribly expensive bill. No effort of presentation on the plate.
Change Chef, cuisine really not up to the standard of this restaurant which at the time (2016) was good. Is it normal to be hungry after having had a bill of almost 900 euros for 3?!!!!!!
I left this restaurant angry and hungry.

31/03/2024: Good welcome. Simple but fresh and elegant cuisine. The main course would be missing some vegetables.
Good value for money for the daily menu also offered in the evening.

The years pass but I still remain as amazed: lunch, dinner for the good and bad moments of life

11/05/2024: Efficient professional service on a Friday lunchtime. Beautiful terrace ideally located. I had an a la carte starter. As a starter I loved the artichoke foie gras and ham combination. Then rather disappointed with my veal picanha given the price. Excellent bread.
09/05/2024: A very good dinner in this brasserie with a slightly old-fashioned decor and a relaxed and lively atmosphere. The server was very friendly and attentive to our requests. We chose the octopus - perfectly cooked - followed by a rum baba and accompanied our dishes with a wine by the glass. Everything was perfect (an addition of €95 for 2)

18/03/2024: Following reservation by phone for 6 people coming from Paris in the conversation I indicate that we are celebrating our daughter's 50th birthday after having enjoyed the meal EXCELLENT surprise delicate attention to see her plate decorated by hand her first name 50 years old!! Accompanied by 6 glasses of champagne I recommend this establishment perfect service warm atmosphere THANK YOU
