Not worth it.
16/09/2026: Mixed experience. The prices are very high due to the lack of competition nearby; for example, the children's menu is €18!!! (for a main course and a scoop of ice cream). The dishes offered were good, but the mussels weren't cooked. When the bill arrived, the waiter immediately offered to remove them from the charge, but at that price (€28), the quality should be better…

11/09/2026: Low-quality food; my 10-year-old niece cooks better. The staff is completely inexperienced; they bring you coffee before dessert and then you're surprised when they mention it. In short, a complete waste of time. As is often the case, a tourist trap that takes advantage of its location.
11/09/2026: We weren't served drinks because we refused to sit on the high chairs. I think that for people of a certain age (80 years old), in short, avoid this place.

25/08/2026: What a wonderful place! We thoroughly enjoyed the mussels and fish at Chez Hortense.
The view of the dune, the excellent service, all in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
I highly recommend this establishment!
24/08/2026: Honestly, a local classic! The mussels are a must-try and should be experienced at least once in a lifetime. The setting is magnificent.

12/07/2026: An Instagram post mentioned a World Cup match being shown, but the bouncer didn't seem to know anything about it and even doubted us until we showed him. The match was shown without sound, on a small screen, and the seats for drinks were way too far from the TV. We won't be back.
12/07/2026: What a disappointment... A DJ so inattentive to his customers... We came despite the small crowd, believing the atmosphere would help us have a good evening for our bachelorette party, which was meant to be magical... Surprise, and clearly unpleasant, when the DJ told me it wouldn't change his plans for the evening... In short, he doesn't care about his customers... I absolutely do not recommend!

24/03/2026: We stayed at this hotel for three days in March. The weather was beautiful, so the lack of air conditioning didn't bother us.
Everything was clean and the mattress was comfortable. We slept very well.
The bathroom is small, but clean and odorless.
The location is excellent, very convenient for surfers, with direct access to the beach!
And I must mention the staff: they were truly kind and friendly!
For the price, it's the best choice in all of Cap Ferret.

Otherwise, very crowded.
Not much of a drive to reach Cap Ferret.

19/08/2024: Bon accueil, la serveuse qui s'occupe de nous est très souriante et sympathique, pâté artisanal très bon et sans produit chimique, nos plats, galettes, burgers et entrecôte sont très bien et bon, nous avons passé un bon moment et pour les prix cela semblent correct pour un bord de mer!
Juste la musique un peu forte à notre goût, mais pas trop grave non plus!
04/08/2024: Nous y allons depuis des années, toujours de très bons cocktails, des shooters originaux, une carte très variée et si vous hésitez, demandez à David (le patron) de vous créer un cocktail, c’est toujours une belle surprise.
Côté snacking, c’est simple et efficace (burger, galettes), avec récemment un sympathique houmous maison et toujours des planches à partager pour l’apéro ou le goûter. Les salades du midi, comme la buratta, sont assez bonnes par rapport au prix.
Le service est fait par des jeunes, plus ou moins aguerris mais avec un sourire et un peu de patiente vous passerez un bon moment. Ils savent aussi vous conseiller sur les cocktails, ne pas hésiter à demander. Lors ne notre dernier passage, notre serveuse a été très honnête : “il y aura un peu d’attente pour les cocktails, 6 bons avant vous”. Nous avons apprécié, et avons patienté sans impatience :-)
