30/08/2026: After a hike, we stopped at this restaurant and we're so glad we did. We had a wonderful meal; it was busy, but we didn't have to wait for our food.
Everything was delicious.
23/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a lovely terrace overlooking the top of the resort.
It's always a pleasure to spend a convivial moment at Le Flocon.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent food and desserts.
I highly recommend this establishment, which is also open in the summer.

06/09/2026: A fantastic place! A very welcoming atmosphere, a lovely team, and truly delicious food. You immediately feel right at home! And what's more, the restaurant is ideally located. A real treat, I recommend it 100%!

A very pleasant stay: the welcome, service, rooms, and food were all excellent.
All in a magnificent setting.

16/08/2026: The welcome and service were very warm, and they were very accommodating with our baby :)
The interior dining room and toilets are a bit dated, but the dishes we chose were delicious and generous, at a very reasonable price (Champsaur salad with tourtons and cured ham for €17; ravioli gratin with ceps for €23).
09/08/2026: A must-try if you're passing through Vars!
Warm and delicious, you won't be disappointed. Generous portions with quality ingredients and unbeatable value for money.

29/08/2026: Après-ski is the best hangout in Vars. The management is very friendly, it's a family business, and the products are excellent: crepes, smoothies, and hot chocolate. The decor is beautiful, and the music is great. A very relaxed atmosphere.
27/08/2026: The welcome was incredibly warm, and the crepes were excellent and generous.
The owners were super friendly and gave us advice on hikes and holidays in general.
We went back several times to eat there, including for a pizza which was also excellent.

26/01/2026: An arrogant boss or manager who likes to badmouth his customers at the checkout; it's just awkward when you're standing right there. Personally, I won't be eating there again; there are far better restaurants in Vars where you get friendly service.
26/01/2026: We hadn't even tasted the food yet and we already wanted to leave.
We were a table of 15 who were going to order a lot, but that didn't stop the servers from being unpleasant.
It wasn't possible to make even the smallest change to the burgers despite our allergies. The waitress's responses were curt. We didn't feel welcome at all. It was the first and last time we'll be there.

08/08/2026: We had dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed refreshments several times in the garden adjoining the terrace. Dinner was delicious; all three courses were excellent, as were the desserts. The service was pleasant and impeccable. After your hike, you can relax with a drink in a deckchair in the garden. In short, a place not to be missed when you visit Vars les Claux.
07/08/2026: An exceptional location for an aperitif.
Conversely, I've never seen such slow and inefficient service. After a 40-minute wait, with no tables left to serve, we decided to order inside. A charming young woman arrived and sat down next to us. Before she could even sit down, a waiter took her order...
The next day, we went back, thinking it was just bad luck. Well, no! After another 30-minute wait, we decided to leave.
It's a shame because the setting and location are ideal.

Upon arriving at the bar after a long hike with the teenagers, we were running out of water. We politely asked if we could refill some water bottles, as the kids were thirsty. We were rudely dismissed. The owner is very unpleasant and lacks civility and professionalism. I find this very inappropriate and regrettable. I absolutely do not recommend this bar unless you are as unpleasant as the owner!

I had written that my dog had slept in the car because pets aren't allowed in the establishment. After a phone call from the owner, I learned that I could have negotiated for him to come into the room. So, mea culpa!

Cher , pas bon et rien à manger, j’ai été très malade après ce « repas ».
Je suis super déçue car j’aimais vraiment cet endroit et avant tout était bon et pas cher pour la qualité…
Je ne sais pas si ça a changé de propriétaire ou quoi…
Prenez vos sandwichs, pour éviter l’intox!
