Top-notch service, cuisine and friendliness despite the crowds, local menu and very pleasant environment.

09/07/2025: A wonderful discovery: excellent, homemade meals. Warm service and welcome. Quiet location. We recommend it and will happily return.
25/06/2025: Nice atmosphere, friendly and smiling server, the little extra is the presentation of the plate at the table for the Bresse chicken with yellow wine and morels, all arrived in a casserole dish, the local menu allows you to have starter, main course and dessert.

17/06/2025: We thought we'd treat ourselves, but nothing was homemade, ratatouille from a can, and so on. The beers on offer were Heineken and Hoogarden, and I was asked for an extra charge because Hoogarden wasn't included in the menu, without being told.
For those who would like to treat themselves, move on...

16/09/2024: Passing through the restaurant: warm welcome. Very pleasant waitress, smiling and professional (pretty to boot). The very pleasant oenologist offers an exceptional wine list.
The dishes are worthy of a gourmet restaurant and the cheese cart is exceptional.
The setting is magnificent.
I will come back and recommend this superb restaurant.

10/12/2024: Locale pittoresco e molto accogliente molto conosciuto ad Arbois. Si mangia dignitosamente spendendo pochissimo, eccellente il carrello dei formaggi, consigliatissimo per l'aperitivo, si bevono bellissime bottiglie a prezzi onestissimi, staff molto gentile e disponibile.
13/10/2024: Sur la route de nos vacances nous avons fait une halte pour déjeuner à Arbois au bistrot des Claquets. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise dans ce petit resto à la décoration vintage où l'on est accueilli avec le sourire dans une ambiance décontractée. Cuisine familiale et goûteuse comme on aime !!!! Bon rapport qualité prix...on ne peut faire que des compliments ...

03/09/2024: Ne vous arrêtez pas à l’aspect extérieur du restaurant. Le choix est limité (2 menus) mais produits locaux et frais. Et l’accueil est sympathique.

27/08/2024: We stopped by by chance as we are gourmet pastries. We did not regret the experience! This is gourmet pastry, the flavors combined are extremely well chosen, and above all a texture of incredible softness (we don't feel overwhelmed by butter and sugar which can sometimes happen in this area!)
The person who served us was very kind and did not hesitate to tell us the history of the house and the desire to remain established in Arbois without seeking to expand at all costs. We felt a keen interest in craftsmanship and know-how (being a craftsman myself, I can only agree with their point of view!)
So certainly the experience costs more than elsewhere, but the value for money is totally justified. If you have a sweet tooth and are sensitive to craftsmanship, don't hesitate to try one of their sweet treats!

31/08/2024: I recently celebrated my twenty-fifth birthday at a restaurant that made the day memorable. From the moment I arrived, the team was welcoming and attentive, and I was delighted to discover that they had prepared a special surprise for me: a white chocolate plaque with "Happy Birthday" written on it! A thoughtful gesture that added a magical touch.
The dishes I sampled were simply delicious, with each dish offering a perfect balance of flavors. I also had the pleasure of discovering non-alcoholic food and drink pairings which turned out to be a great discovery. The combination of French and Italian cuisine was very interesting, bringing a comforting variation to the classics. The signature dish of this restaurant is a real marvel.
I would like to congratulate the entire team, both in the service and in the kitchen, for their exceptional work. Their professionalism and passion for gastronomy are felt in every detail, and this helps to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. Thank you to them for making this day an unforgettable memory.
In summary, this culinary experience was a treat for my taste buds and a real delight to celebrate my birthday. I can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have an exceptional time.
We will come back with great pleasure, thank you very much.
