03/12/2025: Before ordering a Yule log for Christmas, I decided to try different flavors. Today, I'm testing the Ardèche cake and its new recipe. The cake is very good, but the chestnut flavor isn't prominent enough. The blackcurrant overpowers the chestnut mousse, which is too small. There are very few pieces of candied chestnut. The vanilla mousse is good. One expects a strong chestnut flavor from the Ardèche cake, which it doesn't.
13/09/2025: As regulars at this pastry shop, we used to feast on their mille-feuille pastry. Everything about this cake was perfect. Today, this monument of pastry has been replaced by a cylindrical cake made almost entirely of a large quantity of cream with no particular flavor. This new version of the mille-feuille has absolutely nothing to do with the real mille-feuille, which is and remains a monument of French pastry. Whoever invented and made this new version would have been better off staying in bed. Fortunately, other cakes are raising the bar.

16/09/2024: Excellent value for money, you will leave the restaurant full because the quantities are generous. Excellent frog legs and grated, for desserts we could do better but it is more than adequate and given the price we cannot ask for the impossible (25€ for the full menu in the evening)

24/09/2024: We had an exceptional evening in this restaurant! We were there for a special occasion, and the boss was incredibly involved in organizing the surprise. He made sure everything was perfect, hiding our cars and making sure everything was a surprise. Despite the late arrival of our guest, he showed great patience and accompanied us with a smile throughout the evening. The private room was ideal, and the general atmosphere really helped to create an unforgettable moment. The service was impeccable, and we felt really welcome. The boss was very friendly and did everything possible to make the evening go perfectly. If you are looking for a place with excellent service, a warm atmosphere and attentive staff, I highly recommend this restaurant!
21/09/2024: We celebrated a surprise birthday in the small living room and everything was perfect. The welcome, the organization, the meal (very good).. thank you for your adaptability for the success of this event.

22/06/2024: L'accueil est très agréable, la salle est jolie (malgré une petite odeur désagréable de remontée d'égouts due sans doute aux intempéries).
Les plats sont satisfaisants mais je mets 3 sur 5 car non seulement ça manque d'originalité dans les plats mais en plus le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas vraiment
Entrée asperges vertes, maquereaux et saumon (des asperges minuscules : pas cher, du maquereau émietté mais l'équivalent d'une cuillère à soupe, idem pour le saumon ....)
Agneau .... on était proche du navarin : le plat était bien assaisonné mais là aussi: rien de marquant.
Côté dessert, mousse au chocolat, mousse citron... quel manque d'audace... OK le cuisto n'est sans doute pas pâtissier mais tout ça à plus de 40€ : le rapport qualité prix n'y est pas ...
Je suis très partagé car encore une fois nous avons été bien accueilli et nous n'avons pas mal mangé mais ça ne vaut pas près de 200€ à 4 pour ce qui a été servi .

30/10/2024: J’ai attendu plus d’une demi-heure pour … le plat du jour ! Pas un mot d’excuse quand l’assiette a enfin été livrée (il manquait le pain, la salade et une serviette). C’est René, l’ancien propriétaire, qui a pris les choses en main et a eu la délicatesse d’offrir le café.
Le café de l'opéra : c’était vraiment mieux avant !
