29/12/2025: Just a very brief visit to the lounge bar after exploring the abbey. A warm welcome, quick service, and reasonable prices. Charming décor, a crackling fireplace, candlelight: everything was perfect for a pleasant moment!
23/12/2025: The dining room was poorly heated, the male staff were unfriendly, the meat was too fresh and therefore tough, the steak tartare was badly prepared, and the wild boar was certainly not homemade. In short, a huge disappointment. The only positive point is the location opposite the abbey.

15/02/2026: A wonderful Valentine's Day surprise from my husband: first, a visit to Fontevraud Abbey. Super interesting with a very friendly guide. Then off to La Licorne: everything was perfect: the welcome, the staff, the dinner, and the bed and breakfast!! Everything was delicious, homemade, and this morning, a generous breakfast. I highly recommend this haven of calm and peace. Isabelle, our hostess, is charming with her Spanish accent 😊

08/02/2026: Three hours, even for a tasting menu, is far too long. Working with ingredients to create dishes is all well and good, but it has its limits. The soup was tasteless, the mackerel was ordinary, only the monkfish was excellent and truly different from anything we'd ever had. And wanting to offer only local products is commendable, but very limiting when you want something other than wine. There are plenty of other nice restaurants in the area worth discovering.
04/01/2026: This restaurant is truly unique! Located in an annex of the Abbey (the former leper colony), it offers a wonderful setting for a sumptuous dinner.
The dishes served were delicious and prepared with great care. We loved our experience.
I recommend the blind wine pairing, as we had the opportunity to discover wine regions previously unknown to us.

23/08/2024: 15 euros pour des plats qui auraient pu constituer une petite entrée. Il vaut mieux passer son chemin et étudier les cartes des établissements voisins.

17/07/2024: Cadre superbe, accueil très sympa, simple mais très bon, un très bon rapport qualité prix. Je recommande. Avant ou après la visite de l'abbaye de Fontevraud c'est l'idéal.
21/02/2024: Domaine au calme, nous avons déguste un repas autours de la Truffe. Repas très bon, service discret et agréable.

23/08/2024: I do not understand why this establishment is authorized to market so close to the abbey. An obvious lack of hygiene and a dilapidated and dirty terrace. If you visit the site there is a cafeteria inside in the gardens. And what's more, with lower prices.

10/07/2024: Improved service, I see some poor reviews from last year but I can only say we experienced the opposite. The food was good and service professional.
26/06/2024: Idéalement placé près de l'abbaye sur une charmante petite place. Les patrons sont charmants, agréables et très attentionnés. Nous avons bien mangé. Les plats étaient très copieux et fait maison, les frites excellentes cuites dans la graisse de bœuf. (les toilettes sont surprenantes mais géniales). Nous recommandons sans hésiter.
