09/10/2024: Charming brasserie with a friendly, spacious and quiet setting. Cordial and welcoming staff, fast and quality service. Very good home-made family cuisine at very reasonable prices. We appreciated the welcome and the cuisine.

08/12/2024: I was there on a Saturday evening and not many people. The service is super fast, the dish is well loaded, balanced, the meat cooked to perfection and the fries hot and crispy. The price is very fair

07/12/2024: Chilled with cold and wet to the skin, after attending the ceremony on November 11 in a cold rain, around 1:00 p.m., I pushed open the door of this establishment, with the words Brasserie and Café written on the front. , thinking of finding a little warmth and having a drink at the counter with its beautiful range of beers on tap. I didn't have time to take off my soaked jacket, as I was told that for a drink, it's outside. Outdoor terrace at 8°c...!, certainly under a small awning. I can understand, when there are people, not to go into detail. But a bit of hospitality never killed anyone, knowing that I was content with a standing place, even in a corner, but in a warm place. Distressing!!!

19/11/2024: Very happy with our weekend at the hotel. Spacious room, bathroom worthy of a palace. Very kind and helpful staff. Just a shame that the Spa is still closed. Ideal hotel location. THANKS.

19/08/2024: An excellent time spent on the banks of the Meuse in this charming restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality offered. The staff is warm, attentive and always smiling, which adds a pleasant touch to the experience. As for the dishes, they were simply delicious, prepared with care and perfectly presented. I highly recommend for a beautiful riverside getaway!

01/10/2024: Takeover of the La Fontaine restaurant by a young, friendly couple who lack experience. Laborious start with very slow service... Overall, the meal is quite good, even if some vegetables are undercooked. The restaurant is quite expensive. A few small errors which will certainly be rectified later. But for our part, we will move on. I still wish you good luck.

30/09/2024: Traditional and Chilean cuisine concocted by a young Chilean chef and served by his charming wife, restaurant opened only a few days ago. Simple cuisine, very well prepared, fresh produce. We will be happy to come back.

23/07/2024: We had the daily menu. From starter to dessert everything was very good. The owner and the waitress were very friendly. The menu price is reasonable.

07/07/2024: It’s like being in “Nightmare in the Kitchen”! Very basic and yet expensive cuisine, endless waiting (1 hour for the main course, 45 minutes for the dessert), unsanitary toilets. Almost comical chicken puff pastry: a chicken breast with two small puff pastries placed on top. Foie gras salad with three cubes of foie gras. Restaurant not worthy of the place.

31/08/2024: Great discovery of this hostel near Bar le Duc. During our motorcycle rides we usually find a nice place for our lunch break and we have not regretted our choice. The weather being favorable to us, we had the pleasure of enjoying the beautiful terrace which is really pleasant. The card does not look like the Paris telephone directory (it fits on one page) and its minimalist side is reassuring and allows you to quickly make your choice. For us, a sweetbread, just perfect (cooking and presentation), an excellent and very hearty paella and a thousand strawberry leaves to finish. It is with great pleasure that we will return to the Auberge du Val d’Ornain during our next visit to Bar Le Duc and we can only recommend it.

27/08/2024: Small American atmosphere which is a change from fast food where you come out loaded with calories but ultimately disappointed after a few moments. The waitresses are attentive and very smiling. To have a good time... don't hesitate... take your children to cowboy country!
