09/08/2026: A classic brasserie. Beautiful decor, friendly staff, and dog-friendly. We had the sliced ​​beef for €18.60, very good and very reasonably priced. Wine by the glass available. For dessert, rum baba for €5.90. Coffee for €1.70. Very reasonable prices for a pleasant experience. It's not easy to find a restaurant in Bar-le-Duc.

17/08/2026: Unsolicited mineral water was served. We asked for water, but at no point were we offered "carafe" or "bottled mineral water." Furthermore, it arrived uncapped, so we assumed it was tap water. We were unpleasantly surprised when the bill came to €6 a bottle! The main course was served lukewarm with only a tiny amount of garnish. There were six desserts on the menu, but only three were offered. When we asked if ice cream was available, the response was, "We have a frozen soufflé," and the waiter left before getting our consent, but it was served to us anyway. The table behind us was told, "You can't have dessert," and the chef left. The only thing worth visiting is the setting. Avoid at all costs!

25/08/2026: Excellent restaurant, we had a wonderful meal. Not a single flaw. The food is homemade, and the dishes are beautifully presented. We had a set menu, and it was a 10/10. The service was impeccable; the waiter, who was in a suit (which is unusual), was very efficient. He managed the service single-handedly. There was no waiting and nothing was forgotten. He was very attentive to the customers and genuinely friendly. We don't understand the recent reviews because for us, it was truly perfect. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

11/07/2026: This restaurant was recommended to us. We were very disappointed. The quiche and salad (I had to search for the bacon bits, it was sickeningly rich with too much cream) were delicious. My husband asked for bread for his saucy dish (we're still waiting for it). Then we ordered gourmet coffees, and I had to ask for them twice... and the second time, they told me they had to make the coffee... which was served after 40 minutes.

The portions are generous, and the service is warm and welcoming. The photos on their Facebook page speak for themselves. But rather than a long explanation, the best thing is for you to go and eat there and (re)discover the flavors of true French cuisine!

26/03/2026: I was excited to spend a night at the Hotel La Sirène during a business trip and enjoy its restaurant. I called several days in advance to make a reservation. Twice I spoke to a gentleman who told me he wasn't there and couldn't take my reservation. He assured me, however, that he had rooms available and that I could be accommodated. So, I arrived at the hotel on Thursday evening at 6:15 PM to find the doors locked and all the shutters closed. I called the hotel twice, but there was no answer. I had to drive an extra 35 km to find another hotel. You won't get my money. Appalling service.

17/08/2026: I came to Commercy for the first time. I was very disappointed with the Bistrot restaurant. The food was very average. I ordered a sirloin steak that was still surrounded by fat, served with supposedly "homemade" mayonnaise that was extremely salty and inedible, and in a tiny amount. The fries were also very average, overcooked and frozen. I asked the waiters for more mayonnaise several times, but they ignored me. I finally received it at the end of my meal. However, I was charged an extra €2 on the bill for having the misfortune of asking for a little mayonnaise. If I can find a positive point, my friend who was with me enjoyed her dessert and coffee. That said, the service was also just average. If all the restaurants were closed, you could try your luck at the Bistrot.
