08/12/2024: I was there on a Saturday evening and not many people. The service is super fast, the dish is well loaded, balanced, the meat cooked to perfection and the fries hot and crispy. The price is very fair

07/12/2024: Chilled with cold and wet to the skin, after attending the ceremony on November 11 in a cold rain, around 1:00 p.m., I pushed open the door of this establishment, with the words Brasserie and Café written on the front. , thinking of finding a little warmth and having a drink at the counter with its beautiful range of beers on tap. I didn't have time to take off my soaked jacket, as I was told that for a drink, it's outside. Outdoor terrace at 8°c...!, certainly under a small awning. I can understand, when there are people, not to go into detail. But a bit of hospitality never killed anyone, knowing that I was content with a standing place, even in a corner, but in a warm place. Distressing!!!

15/11/2024: Pleasant establishment run by very friendly people. The coffee, roasted on site, is very good, to drink inside or on the terrace, or to take away in beans or ground. Possibility of eating also, with extended hours, simple dishes and desserts. The shop also offers tea, chocolate, nougat and other delicacies as well as cups or accessories. A safe bet in Bar-le-Duc

19/08/2024: An excellent time spent on the banks of the Meuse in this charming restaurant. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality offered. The staff is warm, attentive and always smiling, which adds a pleasant touch to the experience. As for the dishes, they were simply delicious, prepared with care and perfectly presented. I highly recommend for a beautiful riverside getaway!

27/08/2024: Small American atmosphere which is a change from fast food where you come out loaded with calories but ultimately disappointed after a few moments. The waitresses are attentive and very smiling. To have a good time... don't hesitate... take your children to cowboy country!

27/05/2024: Une belle découverte, de passage dans la région, nous avons été agréablement surpris par la qualité des plats servis. Un menu spécial fête des mères était proposé, nous nous sommes régalés de l entrée au dessert Une note spéciale pour : La pièce de boeuf qui est succulente. Le service est chaleureux et professionnel. N hésitez pas à pousser la porte de ce restaurant.

25/04/2024: A fuir,repas mangé lors d'un mariage. Aucun professionnalisme. Apéro tireuse à bière qui moussé,il fallait attendre 10 minutes pour que que la bière servi dans une cruche redescente pour boire un verre 🤦. Les feuilletés pour l'apéro servie dans des plats en inox de 1950et je vous parle pas du menus. Foie gros qui avait l'air de ne pas être réservé au frigo ,la viande complément bleue et le dessert une madeleine de commecy surgelée qui était brûlée. Steak frites pour les enfants,mon fils à été malade pendant une semaine après avoir fait une coproculture au laboratoire,il s'est avéré que mon fils avait été intoxiqué par une viande. Je veux bien croire le laboratoire 🤦 A fuire

31/08/2024: Great discovery of this hostel near Bar le Duc. During our motorcycle rides we usually find a nice place for our lunch break and we have not regretted our choice. The weather being favorable to us, we had the pleasure of enjoying the beautiful terrace which is really pleasant. The card does not look like the Paris telephone directory (it fits on one page) and its minimalist side is reassuring and allows you to quickly make your choice. For us, a sweetbread, just perfect (cooking and presentation), an excellent and very hearty paella and a thousand strawberry leaves to finish. It is with great pleasure that we will return to the Auberge du Val d’Ornain during our next visit to Bar Le Duc and we can only recommend it.

23/07/2024: We had the daily menu. From starter to dessert everything was very good. The owner and the waitress were very friendly. The menu price is reasonable.

07/07/2024: It’s like being in “Nightmare in the Kitchen”! Very basic and yet expensive cuisine, endless waiting (1 hour for the main course, 45 minutes for the dessert), unsanitary toilets. Almost comical chicken puff pastry: a chicken breast with two small puff pastries placed on top. Foie gras salad with three cubes of foie gras. Restaurant not worthy of the place.

28/06/2024: Food was okay but at €63.00 it was completely overpriced for 1/2 liter of wine, 1/2 liter of water, a steak and fries with salad totally covered, which you would otherwise get for under €20.

02/09/2024: Stopped for a coffee break, sitting and waiting at the terrace for someone to take our order (other people waited as well), no one showed up...went inside, got told something like "service only inside the air conditioned area", ok goodbye...the tank station opposite has a coffee machine doing its duty without any hesitation...

30/08/2024: I really enjoyed the meal with varied and delicious menus, super friendly staff. Very clean showers, like the restaurant. Small downside, the parking lot, holes in formation, be careful at the entrance. A person will guide you at 5 p.m.
