03/01/2026: New ownership! Great, lovely atmosphere! Highly recommended!

01/11/2025: Don't go there, it's truly appalling. The current owners are driving customers away with their shameful behavior and the exorbitant prices they charge tourists for sleeping in accommodation with a dirty mattress (fleas, stains, insects) and no sheets (only available as an option for €15 😂). As a result, locals no longer come. There's no sense of community left. Hopefully, other people with a sense of service and basic courtesy will soon revive this beautiful place, sadly ruined by people like them.

23/02/2026: Ten minutes from Bar-le-Duc, a very good restaurant in a pleasant setting. A minor drawback is the service, which isn't the most friendly. A shame, because the dishes are refined.

16/02/2026: Group meal with a set menu. Bottles of mineral water were left unopened in front of us, not chosen by us, yet we were charged. The starters matched the order, the main course was lukewarm risotto, and the dessert was served rather hastily. In short, if I return to the area, I'm not sure I'll choose this restaurant.

19/02/2026: We came because we couldn't find any open restaurants in the area, and to our great surprise, a Valentine's Day menu awaited us with a succulent meal and the best tournedos Rossini I've ever tasted. Everything was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the owner was very attentive and pleasant to talk to. Kudos to the chef! We will definitely return and recommend it 1000%. The Aubois.

07/02/2026: We discovered Marville, a small town that has retained its Renaissance charm. The hotel itself—the main building—is very authentic. The restaurant has a cozy dining room with a real fireplace. It was warm. And the food was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. We stayed in another building. It was cold in the room there. We turned on the heater. Breakfast was in the same building—it was very cold. It's probably best to come here in the warmer months. The view from the room was magical.

14/03/2026: Very disappointed with this restaurant. We received beers advertised as 50 cl, but served in 33 cl glasses. When we pointed this out, we were told they "added more" to reach 50 cl… which seems hard to believe given the amount in the glass… (see photo). Furthermore, items were missing from the starter, notably the garlic toast that we asked for several times and never received. This isn't the first time they've been missing items from dishes or desserts without even informing us. The service was adequate but quite slow, which didn't help either. I do not recommend it.

22/11/2025: The restaurant itself is beautiful, unfortunately, my wife and I came to order pizza, which was no longer on the menu. So, it's a pizzeria without the pizza portion. The staff doesn't know the accepted payment methods and judges customers for the slightest unusual request (like one dish for two because my wife is on medication, which suppresses her appetite). We ended up ordering lasagna, which had a nauseating aftertaste. The salad was wilted, and there was just sauce on top to mask the problem. I can't recommend it to anyone, especially considering the price (€20 for a dish and a diabolo).

08/12/2024: I was there on a Saturday evening and not many people. The service is super fast, the dish is well loaded, balanced, the meat cooked to perfection and the fries hot and crispy. The price is very fair

07/12/2024: Chilled with cold and wet to the skin, after attending the ceremony on November 11 in a cold rain, around 1:00 p.m., I pushed open the door of this establishment, with the words Brasserie and Café written on the front. , thinking of finding a little warmth and having a drink at the counter with its beautiful range of beers on tap. I didn't have time to take off my soaked jacket, as I was told that for a drink, it's outside. Outdoor terrace at 8°c...!, certainly under a small awning. I can understand, when there are people, not to go into detail. But a bit of hospitality never killed anyone, knowing that I was content with a standing place, even in a corner, but in a warm place. Distressing!!!
