06/12/2025: This is a restaurant I visit about two or three times a year when I'm traveling. The food is good, and the staff is always pleasant.

23/12/2025: As a regular customer, I hadn't been back for a few months... I went two days in a row, a Friday and a Saturday, and I was disappointed. I don't know if they've changed pastry chefs, but for me, the pastries aren't as delicious anymore... They're less generous and less filled... And they're very different from the ones we used to be able to eat there.... We used to be able to find individual squirrel-shaped pastries... Something impossible to find now... On the other hand, the place is still as lovely as ever, and the staff is very friendly.

20/11/2025: I love this place; it feels just like home! They have a wide selection of breads, snacks, and pastries, all equally delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place for lunch or a cozy afternoon treat in a very pleasant setting. Go there, you won't be disappointed! 🙂

08/06/2025: This establishment was a wonderful discovery for us, who were just passing through to explore the historic sites of Verdun. The cuisine is refined and carefully prepared. The vegetables are to die for, a welcome change from the usual fries and rice. The gourmet coffee is very delicious, and the crème brûlée is very creamy. We were warmly welcomed, and the decor is quite pleasant. I recommend this unassuming establishment, located on the roadside in the hills above Verdun. Go there with your eyes closed.

10/07/2025: The stars confirm my impression. Great value for money. Example: 3 people 1 starter 3 main courses 2 desserts plus drinks for €90. What's there to complain about? Exactly! NOTHING Service staff also speak English, very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend stopping here.

03/01/2026: We took advantage of the New Year's break to finally visit this castle, which we had wanted to see for some time. Overall, honestly, this four-star establishment offers excellent value for money: a pleasant room for two at €130, a generous and delicious set menu prepared by a Master Chef for €195, and a satisfactory breakfast at €18. It's a beautiful, very well-maintained residence. The service was professional and courteous, especially from the head waiter. Our disappointments stemmed from two things: firstly, the welcome, which lacked warmth, smiles, and enthusiasm. Secondly, in our room, number 6, we were very inconvenienced by the two single beds instead of a double bed, which kept shifting apart with every movement throughout the night; two very thin pillows, so we had to ask for two more (coincidentally, of better quality); and a duvet without a cover, which isn't very hygienic! In short, a bit stingy with many products and services; the place is also only moderately heated. It was freezing! Finally, this castle is ideal for a regular stay because for New Year's Eve it was very quiet and subdued, no DJ or entertainment, and no atmosphere whatsoever; you could barely hear the soft music in the distance! It's much more enjoyable to stay there when the weather is nice and warm!

05/09/2025: I'm giving one star because we can't give 0... A lack of professionalism regarding the non-compliant order, we ask without salads, we have some, and the excuse "they are prepared in advance", not even an excuse apart from a "ROH 😮‍💨". If we don't take the express menu, we are neither entitled to a starter nor to the dessert from this menu. My brother wanted to have a tiramisu from the express menu by taking a menu from the menu, he couldn't... the waitress runs everywhere even though it's not a rush. Dish not even good. Very expensive for what it is, even if putting the price doesn't bother us, but that it is justified.... 0 value for money therefore.

25/06/2025: When you arrive at the place, although there is a menu and other options, you are directly offered the starter-main course-dessert option for €19. You therefore have to insist to have the menu, and the waitress advises you not to choose from the menu because it would take too much time. You are also not offered to choose which side you want with your dish. Rice is automatically served with the fish, when in reality, you can ask for vegetables or fries. The pollock was cooked separately, in water apparently, and is served with a sauce that is very similar to industrial sauces. The portions are too small. The dessert (pastry) is served half-frozen. In short, it doesn't add up.

18/06/2025: I have dined at this restaurant several times already, and very recently before June 6th. Very warm welcome, excellent Vosges salad, but a little less generous than the previous time. As for the person who accompanied me, a sirloin steak because no more ribeye steak but then a very nice piece of meat less expensive than the ribeye steak and just as delicious, if not more so. On the other hand, my portion of fries is really not substantial, too bad. But we will return.
