25/06/2026: Richard is truly at the top of his game. His restaurant is impeccable, the welcome is always warm, and you can tell he loves what he does. Delicious, generous portions, a unique setting with a view of the harbor from the terrace, and a great bar atmosphere in the evening. I would have given it 6 stars if Google allowed it... even though some claim it was even better before he switched to non-alcoholic beer 😂😂 An excellent place that I recommend without hesitation!

05/07/2026: A must-try if you're in Dunkirk. An unusual restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and the food is excellent. I highly recommend the Flemish carbonnade – a real treat! Afterwards, enjoy a gourmet coffee and take a stroll along the quays to help with digestion. Don't forget to book ahead, as it's often full, especially on Saturdays.

30/01/2026: We came as a group of 5 this week, we all chose a different dish but our opinion is unanimous: we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will gladly return :)

06/06/2026: We stopped here completely spontaneously. From the outside, the place looks a bit odd... but we ventured in anyway and received a very friendly welcome – Google Translate helped both sides. The fact is: it's incredibly small, and you can see the food being cooked right there. What more could you want? You can directly influence your dish. Everything is freshly cooked, with fresh herbs, and presented beautifully. A highly recommended place – if you're ever in the area!

13/05/2026: Great place for activities with children. The active recreation hall is fantastic. I go there regularly for the "Bulle de Mamans" (Mums' Bubble) gatherings. It just needs a designated area where children can have a snack before going back to the entrance, so they don't have to return.

17/05/2026: I went there with my wife on May 15th. We came for a "reconnaissance" around lunchtime and returned around 7 pm, having made a reservation by phone on the restaurant's mobile number. Craaaa! We had to make a reservation on their landline and they were fully booked. But they admitted us anyway, and it turned out to be one of my best evenings out at a restaurant. We chose the Thai section of the menu and were both delighted. The service was impeccable. I felt so at home that I wanted to address the waiter informally... He managed a table of six screaming children like a pro. The food was perfect, and generous portions too. We were lucky enough to be able to greet and congratulate the chef. And we finished our wine at the bar with a whole group of regulars. A fantastic evening. Highly recommended.

19/05/2026: Caution. There are two Orient Express restaurants located directly opposite each other. We went to the one called "Poulet Braise." We checked their website beforehand and chose our dishes. Of course, we ended up at the one whose menu wasn't valid. A shame. But we still found something on the menu of that restaurant. The portions were generous and good. The service was also friendly and helpful. Full marks. The ambiance could use a bit more style. Very good value for money. It would be great if the owner could clarify things on Google beforehand.

10/05/2026: The meat was cooked perfectly and was delicious, the fries were perfectly crispy, the salad wasn't dry and was incredibly tasty, the drinks were super cold, and the welcome was fantastic – it was a delight! 😋

17/06/2026: Everything was perfect as usual: the food, the service, the welcome. The hot appetizer, the turbot—everything was delicious and generous. The turbot was beautifully prepared with a lovely accompaniment of varied vegetables: a beautiful, colorful plate. The salted caramel ice cream dessert is a must-try, and we also enjoyed the Chandon spritz, which we hadn't tried before, as an aperitif. The service was responsive, friendly, and offered helpful advice. We hope to return very soon!

17/05/2026: This was our first time eating at La Patatiere, even though we live in Dunkirk. We thoroughly enjoyed it! The portions were very generous and hearty! The menu wasn't expensive, and the service was excellent. We'll be back! If I had to add one suggestion: add a second fish Patatiere to the menu, and have the cheese melted a little more. Otherwise, it was perfect! Thank you to La Patatiere for giving us a place to eat, because on a Saturday evening at 8:30 pm on the beach, many people were turned away because they said they had "nothing left to offer."
