25/04/2026: We had a wonderful time. The dishes were exquisite, the ingredients top-quality, everything was delicious, and the presentation was perfect.
Congratulations to the chef and the entire team.
The service was excellent, with very friendly staff.
As the weather was beautiful, we were able to eat on the terrace, with a magnificent view of the Chaîne des Puys mountain range.
We will definitely return to try other dishes. Excellent restaurant, I highly recommend it.
25/04/2026: Friendly welcome, but not entirely genuine in my opinion. Exorbitant prices for this level of cuisine, and some dishes are quite small... how do they manage to attract so many customers?

I highly recommend it!

09/04/2026: Very disappointed 😒! Especially since it was recommended by a local... The dish was generous but lacked flavor.
We ordered the Guillonade.
The potatoes were overcooked (they were changed after we asked, but the kitchen staff didn't seem too happy about it 🙄 FYI, the kitchen is open and you can hear some of the comments 🙄), but the cheese was very good. The charcuterie was so-so, but I was able to take some home because I couldn't finish my meal.
On the other hand, the waitress was friendly and professional. The prices are high compared to the quality of the food.
07/04/2026: We stopped to try the truffade, and we weren't disappointed. At €20, it was a generous portion, served in a pan meant for two to share, with a charcuterie platter each: a real treat.
There's no set menu at this restaurant; everything is à la carte.
The service was pleasant and efficient.
One small drawback, however: the tables are quite close together, which makes it a little less intimate. The desserts are also a bit pricey (between €10 and €14).
Despite this, we had a great time.

01/11/2025: The owner gave us a cold welcome, we were practically bothering him.... He should close on a public holiday if he's so bothered by working....anyway, I won't be going back.
28/10/2025: I really like this place; the owners are friendly, the food is simple and very good. The café/restaurant is clean, and the music is discreet and well-chosen. Furthermore, the terrace gets plenty of sunshine, and the view of the thermal park is lovely.
I recommend it without hesitation.

06/03/2026: A very warm welcome. The room and bathroom were spotless. There was even a mat for the dog in the room.
I highly recommend it.
11/01/2026: The room was old-fashioned and very cold despite the radiator, and the bathroom was straight out of the 70s/80s – it's just not acceptable anymore. Waiting 5 minutes for hot water in the bathtub... where's the environmental awareness? We won't be back.

01/09/2024: For a Michelin-starred restaurant we were surprised to see that the restaurant had no air conditioning, sliding open result, heat and flies on the program. Added to this was the background music that was too loud. Interesting culinary discovery but the cook had a heavy hand with the spices, too bad. Accustomed to large tables, we came away with mixed feelings about your establishment.

On the other hand, one thing bothered me: the flies... open windows it was hot but there are mosquito nets which also prevent flies from entering.
In view of the quality of the restoration it is a shame to go hunting...

09/07/2024: Un des restaurateurs du Glacier nous a aidées mon amie et moi à rentrer en Suisse, tout cela généreusement et gratuitement. Nous l'en remercions vivement. Surtout nous constatons que l'accueil à Châtel Guyon est chaleureux et désintéressé. Nous reviendrons volontiers manger au Glacier l'année prochaine.
10/04/2024: Sans prétention, mais bien servis, nous avons bien mangé. Entrées ,plats, desserts sont bien présentés et le service est rapide et souriant

16/08/2024: Une excellente table nous avons été ravis de ce restaurant. Très bon rapport qualité prix. La truffade une tuerie, les tartes auvergnates succulentes. Personnel très actif et réactif et la responsable de l’établissement d’une grande gentillesse. Ce qui m’a déçue c’est le comportement des clients toujours impatients. À peine commandé ils voudraient être servis. Il faut savoir être patient quand nous mangeons du fait maison et prendre le temps d’apprécier ce genre d’établissement sinon fuyez et allez manger au Fast-food. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe !!!
